Chiron Transiting Aries - Part VI - Aquarius and Leo

Chiron and Achilles by John Singer Sargent
Chiron in Aires in the 3d house

(Probably for Aquarians, depending on your Chart configuration)

Here Chiron infuses certain vulnerability in one's thinking, communication, expression, and mental processes. The mind doesn't seem reliable like before for some unknown reason. The way we initiate communication feels awkward or inadequate. Our expressions may come at the wrong time, premature or too late. There is a sensitivity around not feeling understood, or not being understood. It may seem that nobody listens to us anyway. Then, we may give up trying to explain ourselves, or conversely we may go extra miles trying to nail down what we wanted to say, just realizing that the misunderstanding got even worse.

We may also realize that we started grasping an understanding of certain things, out of the blue, without an idea how.  Our mind may seem to be connected to the Big Mind. One may receive healing insights, but at the same time may feel frustrated because one is not able to explain it. The 'identity' (Aries 3d house, the way we used to be) of our mind processing and communication style changes. We become aware of certain mind abilities we didn't know we had or that are entirely new to us. For example, we may realize we access telepathic communication with someone else, and we discover we have telepathic healing ability. Depending where Mars is in your Natal Chart and its present condition, it can overwhelmingly energize or hinder the mind and its function. We may not recognize anymore the new way we come across.

The third house also rules our siblings, neighborhood, the city where we live, business deals, and our classmates, playmates and in general people we contact every day. Those relationships may suffer, especially considering our new ways of communicating. The effects of Chiron here can even be tangible, as a sibling being hurt, or undergoing a trauma. Maybe your sister or brother decides to use homeopathic medicines or another alternative healing approach. Your neighborhood may undergo reconstruction, or your next door neighbor may decide to remodel his or her house or move out, or gets ill or heals.

Communication media around you may also undergo upheavals. Make extra efforts to back up your files. Internet may malfunction. A need may arise to change phone or internet service providers because of changes in the way those perform. You may decide to quit or change your social media choices or relationships, due to hurtful communication or looking for a better way to connect with friends.

During the next seven years, all of that may happen at different times. Each person will be affected in a different way, mainly because our Birth Charts are unique and Chiron transiting the 3d house will aspect other cosmic bodies in different ways for each individual. If all of the sudden, your life gets upside down in this area, make sure you schedule a consultation with your favorite Astrologist.

Chiron in Aires in the 9th house

(Probably for Leos, depending on your Chart configuration)

Chiron transiting the 9th house may bring frustration or dissatisfaction with our belief system, spiritual endeavors and even with a spiritual leader or wise figure in our life. A new understanding may put in evidence incongruences that give us a sense of an inadequate belief. We may feel vulnerable for believing certain things, realizing that we are socially alienated. We may decide to disconnect from a spiritual or religious teacher or guide, generating a vacuum of faith with a perception of loss and grief.

Our cultural identity may be a source of pain and alienation. One may be physically persecuted because of being from another country/culture/religion. Social ostracism can also be the result of being 'different' in those areas. On the other end of the spectrum, it may be painful having to adopt a new culture, of belief system, or even adapt to it.

The 9th house also rules grandparents. So they can pass away, or fall down from their religious or authority position. They may suffer because of their faith or cultural identity. They may hurt because they have to stay separated from their grandchildren for some reason.

Chiron in the 9th house introduces a general sensitivity about the religious and cultural factors of life. One may either forsake them, or even strongly grip onto them in an effort to compensate for the suffering.

The 9th house is also the place of Higher Knowledge and our Life Vision. One may painfully realize that cannot access higher education, or that we are not able to attain the longterm goals we want to set up for our life. Discouragement and feelings of inadequacy may hinder our efforts to obtain what we want or to realize the purpose of our life. On the other hand we may directly access Higher Knowledge from the invisible realm and have a hard time understanding, making sense of it or expressing it in a practical way.

During the next seven years, all of that may happen at different times. Each person will be affected in a different way, mainly because our Birth Charts are unique, and Chiron activates the wound reflected by your Natal Chiron. Transiting the 9th house, Chiron will aspect other natla cosmic bodies in different ways for each individual. If all of the sudden, your life gets upside down in this area, make sure you schedule a consultation with your favorite Astrologer.

Aspects to Chiron in Aries - March April 2019

The Luminary couple

The first visitor Chiron received in his new home in Aires was the Sun at 1º on March 22, 2019.  However, the Full Moon in Libra on March 20th was in a tight orb of 1º.  I consider that both, the Sun and the Moon have shed light on the identity Wound of Aries. What was your wound? It has probably been a deeply emotional week for all, in one or two areas of life, and most especially within close relationships.

This week, it was probably a time to go deep inside, want to stay quiet, and observe the turmoil. Considering that the Full Moon also was loosely square Pluto and the South Node (8º and 6º respectively), the emotional pressure is not negligible. It affects more those who have planets or angles near those degrees in any of the cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).

There has been people questioning if it is still worthwhile to continue with a partner who mostly causes heartbreak and takes all the good energy they have. Maybe -they think, 'I should be better off alone'. Others have reached a point where they have to sit down and put the issues on the table to really take a closer look and find out a solution. 'What do I need that I don't get in this relationship?" kind of questions. Those who are not in an intimate  relationship, are also looking deep inside to their own wound, and try to put together the broken pieces.  Whichever the case, Pluto is the pressure cooker, inciting us to change... or rather transmute. Many are brave enough to respond to the call.

It is definitely worth taking the transmutation journey and  look forward to a better happier freer life, and wider horizons of wellbeing.
After all, what is the meaning of life without real Joy?

The Messenger and the Lady
Mercury, the messenger of the Gods. Greek Mythology

Mercury is the next visitor Chiron will receive April 20th, 2019, at 3º. Mercury in Aries is a fast impulsive communicator. He may blurt out his hurt, his truth. Otherwise, Mercury in Aires with Chiron can impel us to reflect on our wound. It can even impair communication, understanding or writing. Coming out of Pisces, he might have found out some inspiration or insights from the spiritual realities that is ready to share impulsively without much reflection in Aries. His message may be about identity trauma, an expression of suffering. On the other hand, it could hurt someone else or draw a painful reaction from the audience. The advice is to be careful and empathic with our speech.

Closely followed by Venus, Silver Wings Mercury may bring a love letter, or maybe he will be Her Majesty's announcer. Either way, good news should arrive when this Lady makes her majestic entrance into the chambers of Chiron.  Maybe they bring the answer those lovers have been looking for. As Jeremy Neals, Astrologer, says "True love cannot be made without Chiron".

Love in human life is as necessary as food and water. Babies cannot survive without it. Adults only survive without it. Whether we have a partner or family to love, Love is an essential part of human life. If alone, we have to learn how to provide it for ourselves. If in relationships, we have to learn have to give it and receive it. The wound that Chiron represents in our Natal Chart shows us the place where we most need TLC. For example, if it falls in the first house, we are challenged to learn how to love ourselves, imperfections, shortcomings and all. If it falls in the seventh, we are challenged to learn how to choose an appropriate partner, or relate to another human being. When we relate to others, all areas of life are involved, especially the ones that hurt. They need to be included as well.

The vulnerable areas -where Chiron is, are the hardest to manage in a relationship. Because we don't know how to heal, at first, we project the wound onto the partner, and they do the same onto us. Venus visiting your natal Chiron -or transiting Chiron in this case, is a balsamic relief. It helps us sooth the rawness of the wound, care for it, treat it with compassion, understanding, patience. Even though, Venus is not the unconditional love Neptune can give us, we can get a glimpse of what true love may be.

Venus can show us, though, that we all hurt for a valid reason, consciously or unconsciously. We all are broken one way or another, and still whole. When we remember this with compassion, we can then establish a harmonious and balanced love exchange, where both parties receive what they need. However, the whole process only starts within ourselves, when we understand that we are lovable in spite of our faults, when we look in the mirror and say to ourselves 'I love you' sincerely, with all our own heart. Then, we are ready to love.

The Actor

April 4th, Mars has entered Gemini and then sextile Chiron now at 2º Aries. He is the one giving us the opportunity to take actions, repair, or make decisions about what Chiron represents there. As Aries is a different area of life for each person, you can find out in your own chart, what is the window of opportunity that Mars is opening for you. Mars in Gemini gives us lots of conversation, and sometimes, he can be aggressive. In connection with Chiron, the conversations can be wounding if aggressive... or healing if assertive. A sextile aspect is just a possibility, the beneficial energy that can help us do something, but it is up to us to use it.

One important thing to point out is that Mars is the ruler of Chiron in Aries, therefore, any Mars transits to Chiron are important, in particular squares and opposition. This will be the subject of other posts that I will write along the way.

Chiron Transiting Aries - Part V - Cancer and Capricorn

Apollo Entrusting Chiron with the Education of Aescalapius - etching - Washington DC, NGA.jpg

Chiron in Aries in the 10th House

(maybe for Cancer Rising Sign)

The assertiveness of the Aries 10th house is tainted with Chiron's awkwardness in public, in public functions. Feeling unsatisfied about one's social status, function or performance, one looks for recognition. One is always going the extra mile, because it seems that one's efforts are never enough, never correct, never well accepted. One can feel that doesn't fit or perform well in the social arena, in the chosen career, and in general with authority figures. It's the 'I am a loser' subconscious mentality. Bosses can put increasing demands on us, making us feel that we are not doing the job correctly or that we are outsiders.

One can feel unworthy of the social role, or of career promotions or opportunities. Bosses may overlook us for a promotion because of our insecurity feelings. Then, we may either overreact or under react. We may work harder in order to prove our capacity. The same way, exaggerated or unskilled efforts can be made in the public activities, in an attempt to be identified with a better performance, but ending up with a pitiful showoff. Overreaction (impulsivity, aggressiveness) will show as a strive for acceptance and acknowledgment. Under reaction (even passive aggression) will, on the contrary, show as resignation to the belief that we are not worthy of the public recognition, so we stop fighting thinking that is useless and attracting the commiseration of others. With Chiron transiting Aries in this area, we are and we manifest what we deeply believe we are in an impulsive reactive manner.

Another common reaction for this and all the Chiron placements and transits, is the tendency to teach others how to overcome the very same problems we are facing, avoiding thus the need to look our own self and heal from the inside out. We are especially skilled at attracting our same kind of Chiron, so we can look at ourselves in their mirror. But our efforts to help or fix others -who often are not requesting our help- is just another way to escape our own wound.

The healing journey here is to learn about who you really are in the public eye, 'know thyself' based on facts, objectively, and take the appropriate action accordingly. We can change our feelings and beliefs with conscious mental work in the polarity of the fourth house, so we can anchor the emotional footing there. There is certainly a process of observing what works and what doesn't, but not of blame for what we are not. Setting reasonable goals and controlling the Arian impulsiveness will be helpful. There is a need to approach our public identity in a detached manner in order to feel satisfied.

Chiron in Aries in the 4th House

(maybe for Capricorn Rising)

In the 4th house Chiron struggles with the identity related to emotional security, as in family and nurturing themes. Issues may arise related to the less present parental figure, be it mother or father, the one that was less present or absent. Fears may appear about not feeling able to provide emotional comfort for ourselves or others. With Aries in the 4th house we are naturally either more assertive, proactive, impulsive or even aggressive. So with Chiron visiting here, our actions may be more impulsive or reactive.

Chiron transiting the fourth house will arise painful feelings of being an outcast. Our emotions can be so much out of the norm, that may trigger isolating behaviors or projections onto our closest relationships. As always with Chiron, the reaction can be closing up completely and ignore overbearing feelings, or develop oversensitivity. One may also attract people who need nurturing, emotional soothing and security, even someone who needs 'mothering', because this is the way we 'escape' our own wound.

Even one's relationship to the mother or mother figures in one's life may be affected by distorted feelings. During the next seven years, pay attention to how you relate to your  own mother, or a mother to be, or another mother figure. There is probably time to learn something new about your identification with this archetype, your own personal family history,  and even past life family traumas. You may have abnormal sensitivity, too much or too little, because of an actual or perceived hurt. These relationships can be a great source of discovery about your deepest conflictive feelings related to home, family and safety issues.

But our efforts to help others -who often are not requesting our help- is just another way to escape our own wound.

In general, you will find yourself a lot more sensitive, even intuitive, with what you would perceive as an inadequate, exaggerated, excruciating empathy, in a manner that will make you either shut down or overreact to situations, especially with women who are mothers. You may tend to avoid or ignore relationships, situations and events that arouse those feelings.

As always, healing comes when we observe and learn to become aware of the internal process we experience. Read my previous posts about transiting Chiron in Aries in other houses.

Chiron transiting Aries - Part IV - Gemini and Sagittarius

Chiron teaching music to Achille by Pierre Paul Puget (1700s)

Chiron in Aries in the 11th House

(maybe for Gemini Rising Sign)

Chiron in Aries in the 11th house gives frustration and feelings of not being able to accomplish one's creative ideals, dreams and wishes with which one's feels identified. Often times, even though one manifests them, because of the inadequacy feelings about one's contribution to society, friends, groups, one ends up not being recognized or appreciated. Even though one is able to tune in to the collective unconsciousness, feelings of detachment and criticism may arise from this frustration.

Projecting from the joy of creativity in the 5th house, one feels that one's performance is not good enough to represent one's sense of self in society. Conversely, one can be a creative maverick, but at the wrong time. It could be the case of a research scientist whose investigation and findings are too far ahead of his or her time, and because of it, the public, not being ready for them, rejects them. It's the case of Nicola Tesla (Chiron in Aquarius, which is 11th house energy) whose genius work was almost entirely annihilated from history. One may compensate by sponsoring other people's ideas or philanthropic projects.

Chiron in Aries in the 11th shows altruistic interests related to the collective. However, the person feels so vulnerable about expressing them that may hide them, or conversely try to channel them in the wrong group organization, where the person may end up completely renouncing them, and becoming captive of foreign ideals.  Since Aries rules the head, there also could be some mental awkwardness, eccentric ideas, or unfit way of thinking for the times.

Chiron in Aries in the 5th House

(maybe for Sagittarius Rising Sign)

Chiron in Aries in the 5th house gives a wounded sense of self expression. This house is the area of joy, fun expression, sports, spontaneity, and play. Any expression that involves using the head, like performing arts, singing, mime, or another expressive way using the face may be impaired. One may be very good at a way of enjoying life, like playing games, sports, etc. but unable to do it because of feelings of inadequacy or worthlessness. One may think that is not good enough.

Conversely, one may be trying harder and harder to have joy, to express his creative abilities unsuccessfully. Parents or other people may discourage him or her by making fun, disrespecting, criticizing, or just plainly rejecting one's creative expressions. "Little John is so bad at drawing" can be the devastating comment that can hinder or completely erase his artistic expression, and cloud even the enjoyment of recreation.

The identification with the frustration for not being able to create or being authentically oneself can be painful with this transit. To compensate, one may go crazy making ever bigger efforts to produce art, perform or have fun. One can go to extremes partying and having romantic relationships, taking art classes in painting, pottery or sculpture, or becoming a ridiculous clown in order to prove one's talents and the ability to enjoy life. One may also compensate by teaching others how to enjoy life, or any creative expression.

Chiron transiting Aries - Part III - Taurus and Scorpio

For Taurus Rising, Aries is the 12th house
For Scorpio Rising, Aries is the 6th house
Chiron in Aries in the 12th House

(maybe for Taurus rising)

Chiron in Aries in the 12th house represents a journey within to find who we are. A conflicted sense of identity looks for solutions in confined, hidden, secret or isolated spaces. The individual may be triggered by daily events at work, health problems, tangible imbalances, and in relationships with service people or people in need of him or her,  to reflect on the 'who am I?' subjects.

One way of manifesting this process can be a disappearance of identity, denying or blocking innate shameful personality features. On the other hand, fearing the identity dissolution, one can try intimately proving one's sense of identity in dreams, or by retreating into isolated or secluded places.

Projecting the unconscious identity drama will show up in the relationships with 6th house people, i.e. service providers, employees, people in the fringes of society, the poor and needy, even on a small pet. Remember that other people work as mirrors. When we see someone else, we don't really see who they are, but the reflection of who we think we are. These people will end up being a great source of identity revelations. Therefore, if these relationships show us unsavory aspects, make sure not to react, and if you do, take it as an example of your intolerance for your own inadequacy feelings about that trait in yourself. Anybody and anything could be a great teacher if we are able to tune in to the lesson.

Yet, there will be individuals who would sabotage themselves by escaping the identity reassessment implied by Chiron. Some would numb themselves with substances, others may find other 'hidden' enemies that will arrive to sabotage their sense of identity. 'Hidden' enemies can be in the form of people, drugs, real or apparent external situations, problems. Feelings of inadequacy, of not being enough or being too much will dominate the time alone.

Given the intense introspection, and the sensitive nature of analyzing core issues related to the way one presents oneself to the world, the individual may be inclined to seek professional advice, or spiritual ways of relief. In fact, any kind of spiritual journeying activity can be a positive way to deal with 7 years of introspection. Formal meditation practice, like transcendental, vipassana (insight), breath, mindfulness, or metta (pure unconditional love) meditation styles, is an invaluable tool that can help the individual find answers to any identity question.

Ultimately, if this Chiron process gets too deep and the individual feels unable to handle it anymore, psychotherapy, counseling, hypnosis and shamanic journeying can alleviate the pressure and provide an  issue for releasing the conflict.

Chiron in Aries in the 6th House

(maybe for Scorpio rising)

In the 6th house, Chiron represents a journey of finding our identity through life imbalances. It gives the feeling of not being enough, or of having to prove who we are in situations of conflict, challenge,  or illness. The meaning of our existence, thus affirming the identity, will be found in the workplace, or in the service of others. Feelings of inadequacy may arise related to the way we conduct our work, be it methods, processes, or problem solving. The lack of boundaries between the individual and his or her employees or service providers may be the source of questioning the sense of being or an opportunity to prove it.

The inability to keep schedules, daily routines can also trigger feelings of doubt about self reliance.  The individual may project those inadequacy feelings on service providers, or needy people in order to prove or disapprove his ability to keep up with time management. Remember the mirror effect I explained above for the 12th house. The lack of organization and planning may be the reason why one feels inadequate in the workplace or daily life situations. One can develop an obsession with being on time or plan ahead, or conversely, always arriving a few minutes late or being unprepared, affirming, one way or another, our feelings of not being good enough in the completion of these tasks.

There is a tendency here, as well, to escape. The person can become more obsessive with his or her addictions, in order to flee the daily responsibilities for which he or she feels inadequate. On the other hand, the individual can get fixated on doing everything perfectly to the point of not accomplishing anything, but looking, in the process, for a satisfaction of being capable.

One may become sick to prove one's existence by receiving health services. Somehow, hospital visits or stays can be at play in the search for self affirmation. Conversely, the individual may become fixated on dietary regimens and alternative therapy methods, in order to prove that he or she is able to be healthy and fit.

In conclusion, becoming aware of what the process is about, gives us the freedom to stop and observe it, and then decide how to best handle it. Best wishes to all! Go next to Part IV
