The January 12, 2020 Great Conjunction - Part VII

Eleventh Zodiac House of the Chart

The 11^th House Ruler, Uranus in the 2d House

This is the house of the long-term ambitions, wishes, and hope, in other words, the future. With the ruler, Uranus, in the second house, the hope is founded in the change of people’s values. For the last two hundred years, while Jupiter conjoined Saturn in Earth Signs only, people valued material possessions. Humans exploited the Earth with complete disregard of any form of life in order to possess things, and accumulate fortune. Peoples and countries did not shy from killing or enslaving each other for gold, silver, tobacco, coffee, chocolate, petroleum, diamonds, minerals, or any other material good. This year, Jupiter meets Saturn in Aquarius, and will keep conjoining in Air Signs every twenty years for the next two centuries or so. Our mind and intellect will have to develop the scientific methods and technology necessary to help and allow the soil, the water, and the air to recover their optimal state. By protecting them we will secure our own future. Our future will depend on a renewed and wise appreciation of the Earth’s resources. 

The 11^th house means also stock markets’ and investments’ profit. When I wrote about the 2d house, I explained that Venus and Uranus are in mutual reception because they are in each other’s ‘home’. It’s like having a mutual agreement, Venus is the ruler of Taurus visiting Uranus home, while Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius visiting Venus’ home. Even though they are not exactly square each other, they square by sign, and they support each other by ‘rubbing on each other’s edges’ so to speak. This tension between values and the need to change them is the kind of energy that is helping us look for innovative solutions to the material problems we have created. Venus symbolizes the material goods, Uranus brings the innovation. Uranus is also revolutionizing the banking and monetary system as well, which will have ups and downs constantly until a new currency system rebalances itself. In that area, expect the unexpected, because changes are totally unpredictable. Currency systems as we know them today may become archeological pieces in a few years.

 Uranus is also associated with trauma, with shocking events that awaken the collective consciousness. The image of a thunderbolt best illustrates Uranus' way of working. He strikes suddenly with a bright light the illuminates the land for a second. It’s the Eureka flash, the enlightenment! The Earth has already given us enough shocks to awaken our consciousness about the resources’ status. Although, those stubbornly clinging to the past patterns (Saturn Pluto with Ceres in Capricorn) of disregard for Nature still ignore the hints. In this case, people need to know that Pluto does not subscribe to sentimental but to cataclysmic treatment. He’s associated with all kinds of grim and gloomy impassive ways of responding to rejection of transformation, like wars, genocides, plagues, pandemics, and natural catastrophes.

On the positive side, the 11^th house is associated with like-minded social groups and friends, especially collective associations and alliances without a center or hierarchies. With Uranus in the 2d, there might be a surge of groups working together and sharing resources in order to survive. New ‘tribal’ systems may arise among people who, not wanting to live within the present ‘grid’ system, create their own independent self-sustaining way of life. However, it should be expected that the establishment will work even harder to block independency efforts because of not wanting to give up their economic interests (Saturn is also ruler of Aquarius, 11th house).

With Venus in the 11^th, relationship values are already changing, becoming eccentric, unconventional, against the consensus. People’s desires become more dispassionate, objective, measured, separative, detached. Love relationships and socialization will respect people’s individuality and freedom, and may be cold and non-committal. Venus also is associated with sexual desires, which are already non-conformist. Some youth have embraced gender-fluid orientation. A genderfluid person is someone who, even though has an assigned anatomical sex, they are attracted to both sexes. “It refers to a gender which varies over time. A genderfluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois [agender], or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities. Their gender can also vary at random or vary in response to different circumstances.” (wikia.org)

This subject may take too long to explain, but in a few words, the human anatomical configuration in the womb is asexual until a certain point of gestation. Only incarnation in this material plane makes it necessary to have duality in everything. This incarnation needs duality in order for us to make the physical experience. However, human perfection is not dual, but a unity, a ‘yoga’. The sexual intercourse is the material expression of our need to go back to unity, to become ONE with the source of life.

We can expect sexuality to become more spiritualized, abstract, and detached. For example, technology and social media already provides ways for people to relate at a distance without physical contact. Eventually, sexual behaviour may not need to actually get the sex organs involved, with the obvious reproduction implications. 

If your mind is already twisted in all directions, welcome to the future with Saturn Jupiter conjunctions in Air Signs, and its intellectual expansion.

For a country, the 11^th house is also associated with Parliaments and the supporters of the ruling power. Having its ruler in the 2d house, indicates that the Lawmakers focus their activity around the economy, trade agreements, resources exploitation, etc. At the same time, following the present trend, they might identify themselves too much with the profit they can obtain from their approval or disapproval of law projects. However, this may change in the future.

Finally, in society, 11^th house represents institutions and places where people look for shelter, and relief of suffering, like hospitals, refuges, safe havens, safe harbors, churches and monasteries, not for the sake of healing but of protection. In these times of upheaval, earthquakes, disease, war, violence, and all kinds of traumatic events, big masses of people are already migrating looking for places where they can find safety, and the resources necessary to survive.

Aquarius New Moon - January 24, 2020

Aquarius and Uranus

At this New Moon, the Sun and Moon will be together at 4º ♒️22',  exactly at the degree of the longest Aquarius Lunar Eclipse on July 27, 2018. People born with the Sun or any other planet in the first decan of Aquarius, will be impacted more strongly.  Since the planets and cosmic bodies work in cycles, and as this New Moon closes another cycle at the same degree, it activates it once more. You will certainly remember something special that you experienced around the time of that Lunar Eclipse. Something related or around the same theme may happen for you to make one step higher in your soul's evolution.

The Moon squares Uranus earlier in the day (12:34 pm), and sextiles Chiron at the same time. The unexpected emotions carry a healing power that makes you feel confident about who you are.
But once the Moon meets the Sun, they both square Uranus, Aquarius ruler. Even though Mercury is not conjunct, it's close by, which adds more electrical energy to the chart.

The chart's dominant element is Air, even though the other elements are also present.  This makes for a lot of intellectual activity, flow and exchange of ideas, sudden flashes of understanding or insight, and a lot of communication. The Aquarian energy promotes rebellion, radical changes, eccentricity, erratic movement (windy weather for example), disruption in communications and media, unorthodox ideas, excitement, stimulation, irritability, and possible distraction. Look at the houses where Aquarius and Taurus are to find out the area affected in your personal life.

In the World, there may be more earthquakes, people protesting asking for liberation from the material and financial restrictions, and freedom of movement. More people are needing to migrate because of violence, famine, or war. While Saturn and Pluto on their respective planetary South Nodes hang on to the past, build walls and close frontiers; Eris in Aries, and the Aquarius New Moon fight for liberation from limiting and obtuse traditions.

The Chart lacks Water energy, which can make you overcompensate by making artificial efforts to give an emotional response to your environment, look for excitement in intense dramatic news, or prove sensitivity by showing excessive concern about the circumstances.

On the other hand, there is also a lot of Earth energy, which makes you practical, realistic, to the point, organized, and maybe too much materialistic. You may feel the need to be methodical, follow a plan, make a schedule, clean the house, and provide security for your family.

The 'Benefics'

Mercury makes the waning semi-sextile to Venus. As he enters the balsamic stage, they're about to finish their cycle started at the end of October in Scorpio. It has been a cycle of learning more, find out the deeper truth about love and money. With the Scorpio inprint, love has been a psychological research of oneself and of the other. Do we have now a better understanding about how we function, our power dynamics in relationships, romantic or not? What truth did you discover about your money and your personal values or your self worth?  This is the time to come to the conclusions that you will communicate with your significant other or your business partner once Mercury meets Venus again on May 22, 2020.

Venus makes her waxing sextile to Jupiter, which makes you feel attractive, optimistic, lucky, popular, generous, sensual, and very much sociable. You want to party, meet and chat with people, make love. You have great satisfaction sharing your appreciation, affection, making new friends. Love expands your heart! You may be attracted to a foreigner, to other cultures... maybe thinking of a vacation in an exotic place or buy your plane tickets!

The Bad Guy

Now, this is the discordant note. Mars is just 36' away from a square to Venus Neptune midpoint! No good, no good! On the Pisces side, you may be building romantic castles in the air. You may have escaped to the ninth cloud in a wine-cup carriage, or in your way to Love Nirvana with your Metta meditation. So the warrior takes advantage!

This is the soup that makes secret attacks possible. Shootings, secret enemies, obscure sexual secret affairs and such appeared in the news on February 17, 2018 when Mars in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces squared at 13º.  On August 26, 2016 when they squared at 10º, the news talked about a ship attacked in the ocean, earthquakes, a religious extremists' martyrdom, car bombings, politicians harshly attacking each other, a strike ended up in murder, people attacked while sleeping, and false incriminations.

Mars will exactly square Neptune on Sunday which we can soundly predict it as 'explosive'. A gas tank may blow up, pirates may attack a ship in the ocean, someone may be killed by a sniper.  Neptune is associated with sleep, islands in the ocean, navigation, gas, any liquid, addiction to liquid substances, vacations in far away countries, retreats, hospitals, hospice, secret enemies, all kinds of germs (virus, bacteria, but especially fungi), poisons, refugees, prisons, charity, churches, secluded spaces, bedrooms and bed pleasures. Any of those may be under attack or become aggressive.

At home, make sure you check your boiler, gas furnace, gas stove, and check for possible hot water leaks. If you fear illness, remember to buy masks to protect yourself from the coronavirus.

Another consideration is that, on Sunday, Mars is at 17º where Jupiter was September 21, 2019 squaring Neptune. Try to remember the theme that Jupiter Neptune square represented in your life when they were dancing in conflict  back and forth during 2019 (at 14, 17 and 18 degrees), because Mars may revive it. The delusion we experienced all 2019 may be the subjacent aggressive force that triggers the event on Sunday with Mars Neptune square. Do you have a secret enemy of any kind?

Mars and Neptune can be beneficial for us as well, depending on your personal level of vibration. The square may present the necessary challenge to roll up your sleeves and work for your dreams, your ideals, or develop your spiritual connection with a Supreme Being. With Neptune and Venus in Pisces you are inspired to create, to love unconditionally. You have the potential to elevate your spirituality, to improve your spiritual perception, to awaken your intuition. You may find the perfect kind of spiritual practice for you.

Conclusion

This is certainly a New Moon of sudden changes. After the heavy restraint we endured with Saturn and Co. in Capricorn, this New Moon brings a breeze of fresh air. We may recover the optimism, and the vision for a better future. Dare to break the chains of anything that holds you back from being who you want to be, and reaching your dreams. Don't lose your anchor though, keep the good things you've built in your life, use them as your foundation to launch your new life. Create, innovate, inspire, build, but just be yourself!
