The Cancer Full Moon happens January 3, 2026 @ 5:02 am EST (location Washington DC, US). The chart features the Moon at 13º♋︎ 01' and the Sun opposite at 13º♑︎ 01'. The Moon is out-of-bounds North and at her perigee. These conditions make her gravitational pull extremely powerful, especially over the waters, physically and figuratively as well.
For example, at the time of this Full Moon we will see heavy storms pouring lots of water, provoking flooding, or heavy snowing with great accumulation. The high ocean tides are unusually higher as well. She also has great impact over the human body fluids, often causing fluid retention. It is typical to see emergency rooms packed full of sick people, and those who suffer open wounds bleed profusely. Astrologically, she has an impact on human emotional body. On the other hand, Mars conjoins the Sun, at 'superior conjunction' January 9, 2026 at 19º♑︎12'. He will start showing away from the sunbeams on March 3, 2026, but because he is also out-of-bounds South at the moment, he is also below the Tropic of Capricorn, it will not be visible in the Northern Hemisphere until April 13, 2026.

The Cancer Full Moon falls exactly on the natal Sun of the USA chart, in the 8th WSHS house, shedding light on secrets, hidden manipulations and dealings, shared finances, debt and debtors, goods of the dead. According to Deborah Houlding, the Eighth House of a country represents:

Obviously, the theme relates to foreign affairs, secret dealings with foreign authority figures, or heads of state of any kind. Conferences among mandataries, involving international relations and international law, maybe trade and shipping of goods.
As the natal Sun also represents the US head of state, or the President, the Full Moon also sheds light on his hidden activity in relation to those foreigners, regarding trade, or issues of immigration, emigration, visas, institutions of higher studies, etc. All of which have been evident since the start of this Moon cycle in Sagittarius.
