Astrology of the US 250th Birthday - A Pyrotechnic Year Ahead

The Solar Revolution Chart

The United States of America turns 250 years old on July 4, 2026. In fact, the actual Solar Revolution happens July 5, 2026 at 3:43 am. Here is the chart and my analysis follows.

To get started, it is a mutable chart with Gemini Ascendant ruled by Mercury in Cancer. The natal seventh house has come to prominence by rising. Uranus, Mars, and Ceres are rising. The Nodal Axis is cutting the chart in half from the 10th and 4th houses, leaving all traditional planets on the Eastern Hemisphere. For these features and other reasons written in this chart, this will be a crucial and critical year for this country. Let's explain one by one. 

During the year from this date to the next 'birthday', the country could be divided by ideas or factions, and will need adjustments to many fluctuations (Mutable dual Gemini). The ruler Mercury in Cancer is retrograde which indicates that things will be reviewed to be corrected and fixed in the domestic arena. Cancer being a cardinal sign ensures changes. Cancer also has to do with the protection of one's own, the home, the family and the home country, so national security could be one of the reasons for the dividing viewpoints. Mercury is in the decan of Pisces (ruled by Jupiter) and the Egyptian term of Jupiter. The issues to be 'repaired' are legal, ethical, or constitutional, and they regard international affairs, and even moral issues. The country will have to go back over the treatment of foreigners and over the previous assumption that they pose a threat to national security. 

Except for a semi-sextile with Venus, Mercury seems not to aspect any other planet, at least in terms of traditional aspects. I'll later revisit the reason why it "seems". An unaspected planet is considered free to act in exaggerated or whimsical ways, which Mercury does in this case. Lots of communications, declarations, messages, and news should be expected with this Mercury retrograde, who wants to find out and divulge past issues, put them on the table to be recognized and addressed. 

Moon rules this Mercury in Cancer, and she is in Pisces at the top of the chart with her North Node, in the decan of Cancer (very strong!) and in the Egyptian Term of Jupiter. All of what resonates with Mercury. Public emotional reactions shine the light on the issues that Mercury is addressing. In addition, Moon represents the people (the public opinion) and Pisces is the 4th whole sign house of the natal zodiac as well, which doubles the meaning of them coming to notoriety. The people recover their power, and the phenomenon will resonate around the globe going viral in the news. See this with Jupiter in Leo in the 3d house of communications. If you thought there was a lot of news already inflating the social media, you haven't yet seen anything comparable to what is coming. Jupiter will soon oppose Pluto: the technocratic powers through the internet and the artificial intelligence tries to stop those conversations and manipulate the narrative as usual, threatening and even removing them all together from circulation. (See more below about the Cradle.) 

The planets on the Ascendant are the most powerful in the chart, and there is a lot to say about these planets. Not only is Mars conjunct Uranus with a very tight orb or 42', but they both are parallel to Ceres and Jupiter by declination at 20º North. This is a super duper conjunction to reckon with!! It means that they are working together as a team: the will power of impulsive aggression of Mars, the erratic eccentric and disturbing ideas of Uranus, the information feed of Ceres and the outbursting exaggerations of Jupiter can make things explode badly, and they will. Could the US get involved deeper in wars or other kinds of conflicts? Would the conflict be inside the country due to the division in two factions?  

The fixed Royal Star Aldebaran rises right next to the Ascendant, but its declination is 17º North and the Ascendant is at 22º of declination North, meaning that the star is below the horizon, therefore not visible. They have a 2 degree orb of separation by longitude and 5º orb separated by declination. Nonetheless, we may consider its influence since it is so bright and forbidding. "Aldebaran has been thought as eminently fortunate, portending riches and honor; and was one of the four Royal Stars, or Guardians of the Sky, of Persia, 5000 years ago, when it marked the vernal equinox." 1 The other three stars used to mark the other equinox and the two solstices, but not anymore due to the precession. 

Astrologers of ancient times have assigned the following meanings: 

"To Ptolemy, Aldebaran was a Mars-type star, and is 'fierce, full of courage, delights in military affairs, unquiet, seditious, with violence, troublesome, causes storms, tempest on land and sea, restlessness, riotous people, stirring up popular dissent and revolution, inflames the minds of the people with furious quarrels, and is enemy  of quiet and peace, madly desires civil and domestic wars."1

"Aldebaran is the Right and Bright Eye of the Bull. Called Lampaurus (the beacon) by Ptolemy, the royal fixed star of Mars nature was called Aldebaran by the Arabs, meaning “the one who follows the Pleiades.” If conjunct the Ascendant, this will point to extraordinary energy. Such a person will be able to be ahead of other people, will gain a leading position, and will be acknowledged, but also will make enemies through whom danger will threaten him or her."1

There will be more about its opposing relationship with Antares below. But these quotes give an idea of possible significations of Aldebaran that could be activated now that is conjunct the Ascendant. Moreover, even though it is below the horizon, something else makes her influence actually dramatic -or tragic maybe. Although Mercury, ruler of the Ascendant, is not conjunct this Star, they are parallel at 17º North (by declination), so Aldebaran's powerful light agitates Mercury over the entire year.

Additionally, the chart's Ascendant is parallel to the Sun at 22º North. The Sun is the vitality, and energy shining his light over the circumstances or events that the chart represents for the whole year. The Sun may also indicate the leadership taking the reins or leading the way somehow. 

There are two important configurations in this chart. One of them is Kaal Amrita Yoga (often called Reverse Kaal Sarpa Yoga). The Kaal Amrita is a Jyothish astrology configuration that occurs when all seven traditional planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn) are positioned in one hemisphere and travelling from the North Node (Rahu) towards the South Node (Ketu). 

According to this Eastern Astrology school,

"Unlike its more famous counterpart, Kaal Sarpa Yoga—which focuses on material accumulation and worldly desires—Kaal Amrita Yoga is primarily associated with spiritual evolution, inner peace, and forced detachment from material attachments."2

The traits associated with this yoga are spiritual awakening, profound intuition, meditative depth, and psychic sensitivity. It has a component of karmic release, liberation, or

"forced detachment where external circumstances or losses systematically remove their attachments to wealth, ego, or material goals, steering them toward spiritual growth. It often brings life struggles: significant emotional unrest, feelings of isolation, and worldly difficulties until the native learns to surrender to the subtraction process rather than resist it."2

The other configuration is the Basket (also known as Cradle), where four planets are connected by sextiles, trines and one opposition. Venus in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius, define the Fixed Sign basket's dominant modality. The elements are Fire and Air. The masculine Signs promote active reactions, dynamism and an independent attitude, with an extrovert tendency. In order to use the Cradle energies efficiently and effectively, one needs diligent discipline, and a dose of ambition to endure with  patience.  The multiple sextiles and trines distribute the energy in a closed circuit, where all planets collaborate among themselves, but with a sense of being stuck and running in circles, not being able to detach and scattering the energy in too many areas. 

“The Cradle provides potential at an inspired and congruent level [...] to blend the three mode energies. On the other hand, it tends to lack determination or may disperse the energies across the four areas [of experience] based on the house placements."3 

[The cradle]“brings a stronger and more concrete dynamism to the areas indicated by the 4 planets involved. The sextiles indicate focused communication, whilst the oppositions give a broader vision of things and integrate complementary and antagonistic values, the trines provide stability”4

Therefore, all the experience is concentrated on that half hemisphere, and more specifically the four houses/Signs those planets activate. This Cradle promises heightened dynamic activity, lots of movement and ideological battles among self proclaimed 'inspired' ones who, having the power of money and influence, will fight to gain adepts, or at least social media followers. But be very careful of religious, political or philosophical 'gurus' claiming to own the truth. Disconnect and think for yourself.

Transit Over the Sibley Chart

Let's explore just a few highlights about how the transiting chart impacts the natal chart. The cradle runs from the 3th through to the 9th house, occupying most of the relational houses, meaning that the country will be dealing with its capacity to discuss its interests with other countries, make deals, agreements. But also, there will be important reconsiderations of the what people think reality is versus their beliefs. When the 3d, 5th, 7th and 9th houses are activated like this, for an individual it is a period of testing the level of maturity in relationships. This has a lot to do with people's own esteem versus how they value others. Pluto in the 3th house indicates a powerful transformation of the country's way of thinking and communicating, as well as how its people relates to the environment. Jupiter in the 9th house talks about international affairs of legal and even ethical content.

The fifth house of a country represents its popularity, imperialism, diplomacy among other less relevant issues, and Neptune transiting here denotes their weakening in the eyes of the world, confusion and delusion of grandeur. 5

Mars and Uranus in the 7th house (returning to their respective natal placements) stimulate conflicts with allies or attacks from enemies and a general difficulty in relationships and agreements with others, because they revive the violent origin of the country, born of a war. 

Transiting Saturn opposes natal Saturn and square natal Sun, blocking the authority of the President (represented by the Sun) by the demands of diplomacy, and by Congress activity and legislation. 5

Mercury retrograde period will have three passes over the natal Mercury. This signifies a review of old information in the area of shared assets, possibly relating to the president, because it rules the 10th house. Moreover, this could relate to the allies or enemies because it also rules the 7th house. 

The transiting Ascendant is exactly opposite the natal Ascendant in Sagittarius. This brings the relationships and alliances issues to the forefront. 

Mentioned above, Aldebaran is located at 10º Gemini, very close to the natal Descendant, denoting great opposition from  the 'others' or the enemies. The royal star Aldebaran, the star of illumination, is directly across the zodiac from Antares in Sagittarius, the star of anger, pride and revenge. There are people who think that these are new in recent few years. In this case, a review of its history needs to be done to discover the truth, and separate the facts from the story that was told for 250 years. 

US natal "Uranus conjunct Aldebaran gives extraordinary energy and capacity for work, whereby [it has gained] prestige and appreciation. On the other hand, the opposition of opponents is evoked by it."1

Maternus writes that Aldebaran “[…]when aspected by a malefic portends sudden and unexpected involvement in riots and sedition resulting in justly being condemned by the people.” But this star is also considered to be one of the most eminently fortunate stars in the sky, portending riches and honor (especially in war). Its natives will always seem to be under stress and in a constant state of anxiety but they are successful in making money.1

"Directly opposite Antares in the sidereal center of Taurus is Aldebaran, eye of the Bull. The Aldebaran / Antares axis is indicative of political systems, their people, and their opposing politics. Aldebaran holds and radiates vision for ideal physical logistics for authorities to put in place so as to aid the peoples of the Earth through evolutionary process and transition. Antares ensures that the current and accepted approaches and visions do not become static or antiquated. Antares ensures growth, evolution and change. If the Scorpion meets those bullheaded and stuck in their antiquated modality of life, the Scorpion's sting is not far off ~ hence its classical association with rebellious and destructive forces. Antares keeps the vision of Aldebaran up-to-date by challenging authoritarian powers. When there are rebellious or terrorizing forces assaulting the established order, this reflects the need to realize that the established order is no longer supporting in ways truly nourishing to the needs of the people, and requires some type of reform ~ reform that if denied, may result in some level of, otherwise unneeded, destruction." 6 

The transiting Nodal Axis is extremely significant, because the South Node is in the 10th house 'draining' the power and reputation of the executive authority. The North Node, conversely, is empowering the public, the people, the foundation of the country, and by the way, the opposition to the official government.

The transits of Jupiter on the natal North Node and Pluto over the South Node, indicate the power struggles between what is culturally and morally appropriate and the technocratic power that manipulates information and media (brainwashing of society). The international affairs (9th house Jupiter) narrative is counter by the powerful technocratic propaganda. Hence, the news about the war, the global economy, commerce, treaties, and finances, are diametrically opposed, once one hears the official 'facts' compared with the foreign 'facts'.

Here, it is crucial to make a parenthesis and remember the start of the Jupiter Pluto cycle about 6 years ago. Their conjunction was at 23º Capricorn on November 12, 2020, right on the same place where Saturn conjoined Pluto in January 2020. The 22º 30' is one of the world points, which indicates that these conjunctions impact us all, everywhere. Please read my article about the Jupiter Pluto conjunction back then to understand the themes for their entire cycle. 7

And Chiron has ingressed Taurus, a dire time for Nature, for the production and distribution of food, and the global economy. Look back at Chiron's previous transits in Taurus between 1977 and 1984, if you were alive you might remember. Chiron in Taurus brings us to face our relationship with the body and the material reality of life. 

Conclusion

Based on this analysis, the country will suffer great conflicts -if not civil war- inside the country, because of the radicalization of opposing political views. The crisis created by the dismantling of the entire federal government, either by decree or by unlawful procedures has submitted society and individual lives to great despair, and despondency, not to mention the complete lack of confidence in the supposed representation of political leaders. And when trust is lost, is gone from its roots to never come back.

The birthday chart with all planets on the Eastern hemisphere indicate that the country is turning on itself, to take care of basic domestic issues, private as well as public. Below the horizon, the first house is survival, the second is sustenance or the necessary resources, the third is communication and basic education. Above the horizon, the 12th house is the blind spot, 11th house is the law and legislation, and the 10th house is the country's reputation as well as the executive and the party in power. All these areas are to be worked out between the Nodes, for the country to be able to release its toxic karma in order to reboot. 

With the Cradle in Fire and Air Signs, ideologies are inflamed and fed into the internal antagonism. There will probably be a lot of fires, physical and figurative. It's going to be a very pyrotechnic year, with lots of 'boom boom and pum pum', with possible earthquakes of sorts, volcano eruptions both physical and figurative. However, one needs to remember that, just like a baby being born with pains and blood, destruction and chaos are a necessary stage when something new is born. 

Let us work for the best! Just a thought for this 'birthday': According to the Declaration of Independence, the people own the power. The Constitution establishes that people delegate their power on representatives who should be their expert employees executing the will of the people.

 A Basket Full of Surprises

The June Solstice is one of the four main angles of the Tropical Zodiac marking the change of the seasons. The 0º Cancer is one of the zodiacal World Points indicating the beginning of the Summer in the Northern hemisphere and the Winter in the Southern hemisphere. It describes the energy for the next three months of the year, reason why, astrologers pay close attention to it.

The Ascendant

The chart is cast at Washington DC, because it seems that whatever happens in the US is now change the destiny of the entire world. You might agree or not, however and it is the sad reality. We live in an interdependent world where the law of the jungle prevails now: the stronger animal eats the weaker.

The Ascendant of the chart in Gemini features Uranus rising still square to the Nodes of Destiny. This planet is often associated with trauma, usually caused by unexpected turns of events, eccentric and erratic movements, decisions or shocks. A significant surprise might happen that turns things upside down. Keep in mind that with Uranus, nothing is foreseeable, it's always something you never imagined that could happen. Gemini talks a lot and gives a lot of information about it.

Uranus has been within orb of the square to the Lunar Nodes for a couple of weeks, it was perfect June 12, and is still operative at the Solstice. This indicates a powerful moment when there is a choice to make between Pisces (surrender) and Virgo (discernment). Uranus is applying to the South Node in Virgo in the 4th house, which means that things are switching from the public and authority figures to the people, the common folk. Uranus brings an air of liberation, and freedom from oppression.

Just one week later, Mars will square the Nodes on June 29 indicating an action that changes everything. (Please watch my video on the Capricorn Full Moon that also happens the same day) More so because, Mars will conjunct Uranus on July 4th. The Ascendant in Gemini 9º is conjunct Ceres. Let's see what Ceres adds to the meaning of the entire chart. Ceres is the biggest asteroid and her archetype combines several meanings of the Mother. She is the nurturing mother doing everything necessary to promote growth, and the preservation of the physical aspects of life. She relates to food, food production, storage, supply and distribution, as well as the protection of life through feeding and sharing food. Ceres goes deeper into the mysteries of life and death, she helps us understand death, and resolve our fear of death. In fact, the mythological goddess Ceres was in charge of performing the rituals of death, guiding the dead through the threshold toward their final destination. She can help us understand issues of separation and renunciation. If you remember she was conjunct Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn on January 2020 at the start of the pandemic that had a lot to do with those themes.1

Ceres is also the archetype of the mystery of conversion of blood into life and life sustaining food. Rules the conversion of the blood from the womb (menstruation) into pregnancy, and the mother's blood into milk to breastfeed the newborn. 1

Ceres in Gemini conjunct the Ascendant is not minor influence. On the contrary, she defines the coming three months period. She is probably telling us to learn and talk about nutrition, the harvest, supply, availability, transportation and distribution of food as a key issues during this period. Since Mercury, Gemini ruler, is in Cancer, the conversations and teaching will concern home, shelter and family protection. Mercury in turn is in mutual reception with his ruler, the Moon. In close collaboration, they indicate the need to use discernment, be methodical and consider the implications on our health. 

Ceres conjunction with Uranus also relates to learning and using astrology to guide ourselves through these challenging circumstances where technology and specifically AI do not respect the natural processes and rhythms of the Earth. The cutting edge technological science develops ever more 'devices' and 'entities' in complete disregard for the consequences they may have on the environment, the soil, the water and the air necessary to grow and produce food. Observe that the Ascendant is trine Pluto in Aquarius, or the overwhelming power of technocracy.

Ceres is also strengthened by a sextile and parallel north with Venus in Leo. Venus is supporting Ceres job by making our desires take center stage in the conversations (3d house). People will talk about their needs and sensitivities regarding the ability to feed their families. 

The Sabian symbol for the 10th degree Gemini says

"An airplane performing a nose dive. A superior ability to challenge nature and play with danger. Through the controlled use of mental powers man is able to challenge the most basic force in nature: gravitation. [Man] challenges himself as well as outside. Gravitation is the universal binding force of the material world. By challenging it, man prepares himself to pierce beyond the physical and to reach higher realms of existence.

The symbol has a strong sense of finality. No possibility of half measures exists. Man is committed irrevocably to success or failure — at least as a conscious and self-reliant mind. The alternatives are clear-cut. One may describe it as MIND vs. MATTER, or as Man’s will against the fate that gravitation so aptly symbolizes."2

The way to interpret this description for the chart's Ascendant is that humans may think they can challenge the forces of Nature, however, not knowing all the principles that rule them, if they fail, it could be the end of Humanity. After all defying gravity is a life and death challenge, one either succeeds or dies.  

The Chart's Ruler

The chart's ruler is Mercury travelling very slowly now in preparation for his retrogradation on June 29, 2026. Mercury comes back to the 23º36' of Cancer two times: July 8 and August 5, 2026. Mercury here is a very busy fellow. He is parallel to Jupiter, even though he will revoke their longitudinal conjunction, meaning that he seems to be headed to meet Jupiter, but then turns retrograde before getting there. In addition, Mercury is at the apex of a small triangle, conversing with the Moon in Virgo and Mars in Taurus. 

Mercury thinks and talks about how to keep the family safe: asks Mars to work to find and store the necessary resources, energy and food, and asks the Moon to identify the problems that need solution, and to organize everything to ensure that all is in good order and well administered. 

Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus are also parallel North, which is similar to a strong conjunction. These three intellectual bodies are putting their heads together to discuss what is going on and how to deal with it. Mercury in Cancer brings the data: "I need to protect my family, I don't have a job, they need food, and I'm afraid they are not safe." Jupiter puts things in a bigger context: "Well, we have a global energy crisis at the moment that it doesn't show any way out for the time being, so we will have to explore other options". Uranus thinks out of the box: "We need innovative ways to obtain energy and food. Let's use the wind and the Sun to produce energy. Let's use traditional agricultural methods to farm because there are no more fertilizers and other supplies we used to have." ☺️

Pluto contraparallel the Sun represents an invisible effect, a powerful opposition to the authority figure as well as warping the communications (Sun ruled Leo 3d house). They use propaganda and manipulation of information by remaking data and news to brainwash the public in an attempt to earn their support. This is, of course, nothing new, Neptune sextile Pluto has done it for more than 80 years, yet many people have fallen in the trap due to ignorance and lack of critical thinking.

The Basket or Cradle that is forming involves the Venus Pluto opposition both sextiling Uranus and Neptune. I will explain its meaning more extensively in the next article when I write about the 250th Anniversary of the US. For now, it's enough to say that Pluto exercises a huge pressure over Venus. Taking Venus as the planet of harmony, peace and relationships, the opposition of Pluto represents taking what one wants by force, regardless of the other's feelings or desires. One way to illustrate it, it's the Beauty and the Bully, or the elephant in the porcelaine bazar. There is no possible appeasement or agreement because trust has been violated. Neptune and Uranus are easily adding to the fire. More to come. 

Transits to the Sibley Chart

Just a few highlights. 

Uranus return has always been associated with a significant war in the history of the US in a timely manner. Not surprising that it is currently involved in yet another one. Though, if you think about them, they have all defined an important new chapter: the independence, the end of slavery, the start of its hegemony, and now an obvious decline... but, who knows!

The transiting Moon conjoins natal Neptune at the top of the chart, showing the great confusion, ambiguity, and even dilutions, which smear the public image of the country. 

Transiting South Node on the 10th house has weakened not only the executive branch of government, but also the governing political party, whereas the North Node has been strengthening the people and the opposition. By the way, the North Node is applying very closely to the natal  Moon. 

Transiting Pluto by the natal South Node denotes the obsession with looking back at the past glories that are no more.

Transiting Saturn square the natal Sun represents the criticism, restrictions and the reckoning to which the President is now submitted. Saturn will have three passes June 12, September 9, in 2026, and March 2, 2027. There will be no respite! At the same time, transiting Saturn opposes natal Saturn, and will station direct at the exact degree. Last time this one happened, in 1997 Great Britain returned Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China that started the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. I'd say that it resonates with the current flow of events.

In conclusion, the situation is very complex; whereas the US government has its eye on the international affairs (Venus transiting 9th house), people inside the country are neglected and suffering from lack of resources they need to thrive.

Midterm Elections in November in USA?

 Will the US government allow midterm elections ?

Start of the Election Event

November 3, 2026 @ 7am Washington DC

The opening chart is the 'birth' as it were of the Voting event.

Given that the people of the United States of America are now anxious to participate in the midterm elections, here is the analysis of the November Midterm Election charts. The start of the day at 7 am shows the Scorpio Rising Sign at the Capital of the country with all four angles in fixed Sign, which already indicates difficulties to make changes and a tendency to hold on to the status quo. 

The ruler of the Ascendant is Mars and is found at the top of the chart in Leo, separating from a square to the Ascendant by 5º orb of angle. Mars and the Sun are in mutual reception, meaning that Mars is in Sun ruled sign of Leo and the Sun is in Mars ruled sign of Scorpio, supporting each other. The Jupiter Mars conjunction indicates enormous efforts on the part of Government (10th house) to control the event. 

Also notice that the Sun is applying to the square with Mars (8ºorb). This means an authoritarian attitude and the use of the 'might makes right' kind of approach. Such authority figure would be preparing to angrily and impulsively confront the development of the event or perhaps cut (Mars kind of action) its results.

The Sun is obviously rising at that time of the day, but the interesting factor is that it rules the 10th house of governmental authorities. Not only that, but Mercury is traveling in front of the Sun from Earth perspective, which makes Mercury invisible (combust). This means that everything that Mercury rules, namely voting, polls, communications, news, short distance travel, postal service, speech and writing, are all under the command and control of the authorities, or one authority figure in particular.

Mercury is also retrograde, which indicates the need to wait until he comes back direct to the same degree (December 24, 2026) to actually reveal the results. It may also mean that something is repeating from the past. Yet, if all those factors were not enough, Mercury is also contraparallel (declination opposition) to Mars, evidence of the aggressive opposition or attack to the things that Mercury represents (listed in the previous paragraph).

This goes in detriment also of the houses ruled by Mercury, namely the 8th and the 11th houses. 

The mundane significations associated with the 8th house are shared resources and the will of the people. Some of the mundane  significations of the 11th house are coincidentally, among other things, governmental interference, political parties, geopolitics, national goals, the house of representatives, the senate, legislative activity, acceptance of new technology, political election, and the Constitution. (1)

Pluto in Aquarius, the modern ruler of Scorpio, is at the bottom of the chart in the 4th house representing the public in general, but also the electorate and the political party opposing the official one. Pluto is OOB South (2) and direct, which makes those significations more powerful and adds a dose of revolutionary flavor to the event. Uranus is in tight orb trine to Pluto and both are sextiling Neptune. They frame the event in a wider and broader meaning for the world. 

The Moon is the ticking clock of transits. She is applying to square Uranus at 11 am, just 4 hours later, to give us a surprise. Expect some disruption, inconsistency, or social disturbance. Before that though she is forming a Yod with the Neptune Pluto sextile at the base. She points to the manipulations with the confusing narratives that have been going around for almost 2 years. 

The North Node of the Moon is next to the IC increasing the power of the opposition and the public, adding to the Pluto OOB empowerment. (2) 

Closing of the Polls

November 3, 2026 @ 19hs Washington DC

The polls closure shows the Ascendant in Gemini and the Horizon on mutable signs, this indicates flexibility and possible adjustment to or modification of the results. Mercury retrograde and combust rules the chart of this moment. Mercury is in the 6th house associated with civil service and workers probably because they will be counting votes and creating records. This work will be done under the watch of the Sun (authority).

The main feature is the Rising Uranus in the 1st house trine Pluto in the 9th house, indicating the surprising effect on the international affairs. However, OOB Pluto in the 9th house may also indicate interference of external political or technocratic powers. 

The MC and IC angles are in fixed Signs. This may suggest that the official power and the opposition are stubbornly keeping their holds. It would be interesting to remember that Jupiter has swiftly traveled through the Sign of Leo in the second half of the year, but it is now slower, close to the 27º where he will station retrograde on December 12, 2026. His retrograde implies there will be a revision of the event exactly on January 20, 2027 when Jupiter comes back to 23º 40' of Leo. 

Saturn retrograde rules the MC and will be back at the same spot on January 16, 2027, to give the last word and seriously put things in their place.

In addition, Jupiter is conjunct not only the IC but also the South Node. This may indicate a return to the past or a more inspirational mood. Ruling the 7th and the 10th house, one might conclude that opponents to the elections are related to the ruling party.

It seems that the Nodal Axis plays an important role given that in both cases it occupies the angles showing the karmic orientation of the event and its results. The North Node is conjunct the MC in Aquarius at the closing of the polls. 

The Moon in Virgo in the 4th house is already separating from the square to Uranus. This Moon, only one in the Earth element, representing the public, reacts in practical and analytical ways, asks for order, good organization, wants to solve problems and do it perfectly and exactly. But the ruler of Virgo is that afflicted Mercury under the sunbeams, contraparallel Mars, and retrograde. It would be reasonable to believe that people will come back to review and investigate the results on November 24, 2026 when Mercury comes back to 12º 57' (free farther from the Sun) of the scrutinizing Sign of Scorpio. 

Rejoice with Venus and Jupiter in 'good entente' (sextile), but take it with a grain of salt because they are contra parallel by declination.

The predominant element is Fire, next is Water, and then Air. This mixture is perfect to 'make water boil', as it were, meaning that emotions will be really hot. The only one in Earth is the Moon (people).

How will the election affect the country?

This chart illustrates the transits at closing time in Washington DC over the Birth Chart of the US. 

The transiting Ascendant on the natal 7th house of enemies and alliances feels awkward. It brings the 'other' as prominent. Why - one may ask, the other becomes more prominent in this chart? I let the reader reflect on that.

With the same token, the ruler of the natal Ascendant, Jupiter, is transiting the 9th house of foreigners and foreign affairs. What would that mean? Please think for yourself. 

The first natal planet rising on the transiting chart (of the event) is Mars, portending conflict.

Let's notice the prominence of the transit Moon at the top of the chart, marking an elevated position for the public/people. She is exactly square natal Uranus, which gives a revolutionary, erratic, exciting mood and possible rebellious manifestations. 

Under a similar consideration, the transiting Sun conjunct Mercury fall in the 12th house of hidden enemies and secret dealings (Scorpio). Its ruler, transiting Mars is in the 9th house of international affairs, which may be interpreted as underhanded dealings of the executive authority (Sun) with foreign powers.

However, the Nodal Axis, now in Aquarius Leo show that US is experiencing the Nodal Reversal indicating 18 months and several eclipses to reckon with the past. The North Node is just 15' of arc away from conjunction with the natal Moon, empowering the people. Their ruler, Saturn transiting with Neptune and Chiron in Aries in the 5th house show the difficulties and obstacles that have undermined the diplomatic affairs, as well as a long awaited celebration. The 5th house of a country can also be related to imperialism and the popularity of a state, therefore those transiting planets are there to help the country come to terms with its past, and its culture of rapacious expansion.

With  OOB transiting Pluto in the third house, repression and manipulation of information and people's mind could be expected for 18 more years. Yet, at the same time, Pluto can be a good instrument to unearth dirty laundry, and help people realize the actual idiosyncrasy of this country, beyond what they want to think it is. 

It wouldn't be a surprise if the country's government is still at war somewhere and even inside because of its tradition of going to war every time Uranus is in Gemini. Can we expect differently? We shouldn't lose hope though, to do otherwise this time around. 

Just a thought to remember on November 3: The people own the power. They delegate it on its representatives who should be the expert employees executing the will of the people.

Pluto in Aquarius

Consider Pluto transit over the Leo Aquarius Axis and you would have understood everything about what is going on in the world at the moment.

I always say that we should always look at the axis in Astrology to better understand the polarities of the same energy. Whereas Aries Libra axis represents the Self in interpersonal one-on-one relationships. Leo Aquarius axis theme is about the Self in society.

Remember Nietzsche’s sentence “God is dead”? Of course, his philosophical idea is deeper, but I think that was the premise on which society built the worship of the ‘leader’. Like infants, people were looking for a father figure to replace God’s protection. Yet, the story started probably millennia before with the patriarchal paradigm.

Leo functions in society as the leader, the head, the king -or tyrant-, the president or prime minister that has the power – delegated or self-acquired- to control the rest of society. Pluto in Leo was OOB half of each year during the 1937 to 1958 period, so it was a rogue Leo Pluto. 

Now, Pluto in Aquarius (as opposition to Leo, as if it were ‘full moon’) projects the excesses or extremes, corruption, decay, degeneration, decomposition and death of the Leo archetype as well as uncover the social corruption that have enthroned the Plutos in Leo. 

Pluto in Aquarius shows on its mirror the naked truth of the Leo-gone-rogue effects on society (Aquarius). If you want an inventory, let’s get started by some high rank authorities who represent the Leo-gone-rogue. Even though some of them do not have natal Pluto in Leo, they perfectly incarnate the archetype. Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, Viktor Mihály Orbán, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Nicolás Maduro, Vladimir Putin, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Nicolas Maduro, Miguel Diaz-Canel, B. Netanyahu, Javier Milei, are among the most well-known. I spare you the rest, but as you can see, they are from all the colors of the rainbow, no matter if right or left wing, they have just one thing in common: they rule from moral decay. Some of them secretly suffer from mental health disorders associated with the corrupted Leo archetype by Pluto. Some hold the psychopathic belief (King Louis XIV, Sun King syndrome) that ‘I am the king ordained by God’.

What is the work of Pluto in Aquarius over society? It shows the people, the plebeian down here in the sign of the masses, the reality. We, the commoners are in front of a mirror (Leo) that shows us how we have projected our authority on those leaders and ‘delegated’ them the role of ‘a father’. This comes from the time of Pluto in Leo (1937/1938 to 1956/1958) when humanity was in great perils: first the Great Depression then the second World War with its atrocities, and by the end of the period the Cold War, or the atomic threat of annihilation of humanity. Like toddlers, people needed daddy, to take care of things and protect them.

However, little by little, the Leonean ‘parents’ took more and more responsibilities, and took ‘liberties’ at the same time. After testing the people, they discover that they could manipulate us with that same fear that originated the power transfer. And using the Neptune Pluto sextile for about 80 years, skillfully manipulated (Pluto) our perception of reality (Neptune) using fear. People in fear of ‘extinction’ kept trusting in that virtual ‘delegation’ of power. At least in the so called ‘democracies’, people have been convinced that they chose or elected their authorities, trusting that they would represent their will, and would perform as expected. 

This is the culmination of the patriarchal establishment, better yet the point where the system reached the point of decay and decomposition. This stage has probably started with the multiple conjunction in Capricorn on January 2020 at the World Point of 22º 45' and in conjunction with the South Node of Saturn and Pluto. The planetary South Nodes act as an energy drain for those planets representing social power structures.  

Currently, we woke up to a cruel and obscene reality: we have been governed by immoral, even amoral individuals, like pedophiles, terrorists and narco-terrorists, human traffickers, or in other word, just criminals that abused the power with which people innocently or stupidly endowed them. The royal class, of course, simply did not bother to ask their subjects about ‘delegation’ of power, nor did they ask for their opinions about their governance.

In the same way Pluto in Leo initiated a period of authority empowerment over the commoners, now, Pluto in Aquarius brings back the power to society, to the commoners. What are people going to do with their power? This is an idea that is still in its infancy. People are not used to use their power, they are still in the ‘daddy dependency’ mindset, still thinking that another president will do it well, the government will solve the problem, etc. Additionally, the process of decomposition will last a few more years, possibly until 2035. 

Pluto in Aquarius is OOB about half of the year until 2035, which means, there is an opportunity for people to taste the recovery of their power. And taste it they will. This is analog to the time between 1777 and 1797, last time Pluto was OOB in Aquarius. You probably remember your high school History class teacher telling you how royal ‘heads’ went rolling on the streets of Paris. Similarly, now ‘heads’ are falling everywhere, often eliminated by other heads in power struggles among themselves.

There are other ways people can take back their power, without violence, and more effectively. This is something one should have learned with Pluto in Capricorn: to take responsibility for being one’s own parent, developing the necessary discipline, establishing one’s own rules, behaving as adults, with maturity, becoming masters of managing the physical resources, knowing when to restrain ourselves instead of overindulge, knowing how to successfully face adversity, suffer scarcity, knowing how to persevere and sacrifice something good for something better. In other words, in order to gain freedom and independence, Aquarius traditional ruler (Saturn) requires us to have already learned how to be one’s own authority figure, or, how to become an adult, so to be one’s own leader (father?) during the 14 years of Pluto in Capricorn. 

Pluto in Aquarius demands individuals to have the necessary autonomy to be able to contribute to the networks of society. This process will be crucial for the survival of humanity, because we will need to gather together ideas, talents, abilities, resources, innovation, and everything necessary to develop creative connections in order to build new systems that in turn give birth to a new organization of society. AI tells us that 'knowledge is here', but how are we going to use it? The Uranus in Gemini trine to Pluto in Aquarius is resourceful, highly supportive for the required level of creativity that is needed. It brings new ideas. Saturn Neptune sextile to them asks to take responsibility for the conceptualization (Neptune imaginary) of our individuation (Aries). There is certainly a new human being in the making. One who is able to create productive connections (Gemini) to build a new kind of society (Aquarius).

I am not naïve. Pluto is out of bounds for 10 years until 2035 (half a year every time) and this may manifest in violent social upheavals. Indignation and anger have already built to an intolerable level, and in many places, people are even willing to risk their lives to fight against the oppression and injustice caused by the corruption of leadership. However, this is the last time Pluto is OOB for millennia. So, I encourage people to use intelligence instead of physical violence to fight. Think smart, talk smart, and especially act smart. Be careful of the bandwagon you jump on, do not let yourself be manipulated. Remember that soon Neptune will repeat the sextile to Pluto a few more times. You can count on propaganda trying to convince you of things, to mislead you. Critical thinking is more necessary than ever. Keep in mind that during the French revolutionary times, successive ‘ideological’ parties also ended up under the guillotine as the nobility did.

In these transitional times of turmoil and chaos, we need to keep in mind the goal: the new kind of society people want to create. The current Mars Saturn in Aries supports the use of individual (Aries) strategy. How can one use the Aries fiery impulses to initiate the New Way of Being and Living? Or is there an Apocalypse that will force us to reboot? I leave you with this question for your reflection.

The Nodal Axis in Aquarius Leo - July 26, 2026 to March 26, 2028 - Great Depression II?

 

The Nodes move to the Aquarius Leo axis on July 26, 2026 until March 26, 2028. During that period there are five eclipses within those Signs, and still one more in each Virgo and Pisces. However, this Nodal axis will also host one eclipse in Capricorn and one in Cancer. 

Let's explore the energies. 

North Node in Aquarius

The new orientation will direct the collective and individual lives to the community and humanitarian concerns. People will now focus on participating in networks of like minds or like activism in order to work on common goals and innovative ways of achieving them. The keyword for this North Node is cooperation, instead of the competition that inspires Leo. 

During this period, individual interests and self centered aspirations are left behind for the benefit of the collective. North Node in Aquarius always finds a good cause to pursue to make society a better place to live for everybody. For this reason, this is the intelligent North Node Sign of new ideas, which usually breaks obsolete structures, thinking ahead to bring up ingenious and often unprecedented solutions to old problems. However, it's done with great humility, never asking or expecting to receive rewards, not even individual recognition to become a leader, center stage performer, or be in the spotlight.

The North Node returns to the same Sign every 18.6 years. Here are the historical events related to the North Node in Aquarius:

1969-1970 Recession, inflation, unemployment, Nixon

According to the Theory of Economic Cycles of Louise McWhirter, the economy falls to its lowest level when the North Node transits Aquarius. This is what this astrologer has confirmed in the historical research above. That makes even more sense if we consider that Saturn (traditional ruler of Aquarius) is transiting the Sign of his 'fall' in Aries. This astrologer predicts that the economic downturn will continue and possibly deepen once Saturn travels through Taurus and forms a square with Pluto. At that time, world conflicts and great turmoil associated with such square may cause food shortages and problems with distribution of resources and energy. Please read my previous article on Saturn Pluto square to understand what is coming down the road.  

During the period when the Nodal Axis is in Aquarius Leo, there will be nine eclipses, but not all of them happen in those Signs. Only the following ones will be in Aquarius. It is important to take note of their dates to keep record of the events associated with them. You could also check if any of them falls within 3º orb of your natal or progressed planets or main angles, which would mean that you would be affected by their energy.

South Node in Leo

Ketu or the Lunar South Node acts as a drain of celebrity Leo energy. There will be an unavoidable disintegration of the personality cult and glory 'holders' and seekers will fall from grace. The invigoration of the social sense of community will overshadow ego-centered leadership. Individuals looking for power and prominence just to satisfy their own interest will be done with, because people are not willing to seek them nor sustain them. This is due to the fact that the common folk has completely lost confidence in that kind of leadership. OOB Pluto contributes to the empowerment of the lower classes that now oppose the corrupt leadership elites. To better understand the works of Pluto in Aquarius, I refer you to my previous blog about Pluto in Aquarius.

Those who constantly look for and need personal recognition are now left behind; there are no more sycophants available to sustain their vanity. Drama and self serving performance will be despised. People are now discovering that they need to unite and collaborate together if they are going to come out of the pit where the Plutos in Leo have submerged them. In fact, coinciding with the Leo South Node transit, many of these are now octogenarians and leaving this world as well. 

To interpret the North Node in Aquarius, follow the transit of Saturn in Aries, and Uranus in Gemini. Aspects to Pluto are important as well during this period, especially when an eclipse joins Pluto (Jan. 26, 2028). Uranus, modern ruler of Aquarius makes perfect trine with Pluto in Aquarius over the summer of 2026, possibly related to popular rebellion against totalitarian governments, or the imposition of social controls (i.e. social media regulations, etc). Other developments relate to the Small Triangle they form that includes Neptune. Saturn Pluto Cycle - Waxing Sextile and the Reactivation of 2020

 

In order to understand the current times, one needs to keep in mind the astrological background defined by the bigger outer planets cycles. 

In this article, I will discuss the Saturn Pluto cycle that started January 12, 2020. I don't need to remind you the events associated with it. I am certain that you will always remember them. I will only remind you the astrology of it. This is the chart. 

The only detail that is missing is that the conjunction happened right on top of the Planetary South Nodes of both Pluto and Saturn. This small details marks the karmic nature of these two planets that directly relates to all the power struggles and human urge for domination of the long gone past. 

About Pluto

In her book Persephone's Revolution, Rosie Finn goes back in recorded History till almost two thousand years BCE. She calculated that Pluto was then in extreme declination alternatively North or South at 36º, every ~248 years. It was the time of the patriarchal consolidation in society, when the known world was involved in cruel wars for conquest and dominion over lands and peoples. Hammurabi created the legal code based on "an eye for an eye" (in a literal sense). 

It was probably the highest point in the curve of OOB Pluto that takes thousands and thousands of years. From then until the present day, Pluto has progressively gotten fewer degrees OOB every time, until our present time when he barely peaks at 23º South 48' (October 2030). 

Why do I mention this? Because this is the last time! for about ten thousands years. That's it, after this one ends in 2035, we will never again have excessive cruel empowerment associated with an extreme Pluto, not from authorities nor from the common people. 

And you may be thinking, 'how about the power grab, and the authoritarian regimes that has been sprouting everywhere with the Saturn Pluto conjunction of 2020?' Astrology says that it is smoke in mirrors. It is there so people wake up. Now, people are able to see how they have been manipulated into believing a certain reality so they kept low (+80 years of Neptune sextile Pluto).  Illusions like freedom of speech, democracy, elections, having a government representative of people's interests, and so many more!  (This due to the other major planetary cycle of Neptune Pluto that we will discuss in a future). But now, people are ready to reclaim their hard earned rights and original power.

Saturn in Aries sextile Pluto in Aquarius - March 28, 2026

Now the power grabbers are innovators in technological advancement and scientific discoveries that don't take into consideration the consequences over life on Earth. This thanks to the Aquarius archetype, an aloof sign that lives in the mind, and creates through intellectual activity, detached from emotions, and for whom life sustaining resources (Taurus) present a hindrance (Aquarius square Taurus). They know that the newest inventions may represent a fatal threat to humanity, but they can't stop themselves, such is the need of Aquarius for ego recognition (opposition to Leo).

Saturn in Aries -with Neptune- represents the pioneering of illusory structures, the construction of those initiatives obsessively proposed by Pluto in Aquarius. 

Keep in mind that all of this takes place in the context of their conjunction in Capricorn. This may mean that the governmental institutions are in bed with, even live off, or survive thanks to developments like AI and other Frankensteinian monstrosities.

The other function  of this sextile is to give the structural birth of a new virtual (Neptune) entity (Aries), AI. According to Youval Noah Harari AI is not considered a "tool" to work with any more. And if we believe Matt Shuman essay as well, AI has now demonstrated that it is its own agent, acting and creating things and even itself independently of human work. Ironically, on February 9, 2026, Matt Shuman starts his writing "Think back to February 2020", which matches exactly with the Saturn Pluto conjunction.

Youval N. Harari maintains that AI is capable of getting its own legal person status and identity, create its own business or corporation, and even create a country with a constitution and citizenship. Not only is it capable of govern itself, but, in the future, govern others, specifically us humans. If abandoned to its own, AI is much like another -this time not fictional, but real- Frankenstein.

A few days ago on April 7, 2026, the CEO of Anthropic announces that 

"Mythos Preview has already found thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities, including some in every major operating system and web browser. Given the rate of AI progress, it will not be long before such capabilities proliferate, potentially beyond actors who are committed to deploying them safely. The fallout—for economies, public safety, and national security—could be severe."1

And that they are trusting Mythos to a class of Corporations namely "Amazon Web Services, Anthropic, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JPMorganChase, the Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks" in "an urgent attempt to put these capabilities to work for defensive purposes." Which means that those companies will have full access to use Mythos capabilities for their own purposes. Considering the history of those companies, how confident are you that they will use those capabilities for the benefit of the public? Furthermore, isn't also Anthropic demonstrating their own infinite power to confront the latest conflicts with the US government? 

This, to me, reflects the archetype of Pluto (power/empowerment) in Aquarius (technology/technocracy), because now, the Tech Industry is literally more powerful than any government on Earth. The President may say "I can do whatever I want", but the ones that actually can are the owners of the Tech Industry, specifically the companies listed above. 

Saturn with Neptune in Aries represents the structural creation of a new entity. An entity capable of dominating all other entities on the surface of the Earth. So, humanity has developed something even more potent - and potentially more destructive - than the atomic power: Agent AI.

Full Moon Leo - February 1, 2026 - Follow Your Heart but Be Patient

Here comes the Leo Moon, with her extra confidence in herself, dramatic, showing off her might, and joy in the middle of the stage. She wants to perform her bombastic emotional show for the entertainment of the public. Except that not everybody is ready nor willing to watch it. 

She is bringing to the stage the energy of her last aspects : opposition to Pluto 16 hours earlier, which has nothing to be ignored, and to Mars 10 hours earlier which upsets her so badly like a punch (Mars) in the stomach (Moon). When she comes to her culmination with the Sun, she is already very disturbed. 

Now, the Full Moon, not only does the Sun in Aquarius opposes the Moon in Leo, but by Sign, she opposes Pluto, Venus and Mars, and Mercury all together. 

You may think that this Moon is un-aspected. Wrong. There is a crucially important aspect, so called "minor". You need to look deeper into the invisible chart. There is a sesquiquadrate to Saturn, which by his nature, disciplines, delays, restricts, separates. But also, according to Bernadette Brady the 135º angle means “frustration of action that eventually leads to a delayed achievement.”1 Why? because there is a need to overcome a considerable frustration (45º angle) in order to have success in the actions taken (90º angle). You may be stopped by doubt, hesitation or just putting off your response due to other people’s actions or opinions.  Or, stubbornly using old methods. So, “the delays [will] force people into new modes of action - but only after several attempts to proceed in the old direction.” 1 

Next important are de declination aspects. The Moon is at the same 19º declination North than Uranus, called “parallel” which means even stronger than a conjunction. She is also “contra-parallel” at 19º to Mars, which is similar to, but stronger than an opposition. 

Kicking against the goads

What would be best? Kicking against the goads or stop and refuse to move? You will have to decide how to proceed. This Lunation then, has the potential to intensify emotions to a point where you rebel to the point of losing control and act impulsively even tragically blinded by them. People can take extreme measures, or actions that are unlike themselves, and turn out impossible to reverse. All the while, event though you may not achieve your goals, they are in the works. Actually those irreversible results may trigger the results you seek. Stay calm, meditate, take time to reflect, breathe deeply before acting, and know that all your efforts against what upsets you, will give fruit after overcoming the present struggles.

Also consider the context within which your situation is playing. It is crucial to correctly assess with discernment the information, the news and ideas showing up in your social media feeds. Not everything that is being said is true, there is a lot of AI fabrication aiming at manipulating the masses, most especially since Neptune ingress in Aries. Why? You wonder. There has been a surge of militant (Aries) inspired (Neptune) art, music, theatre, paintings, and publications, etc. to stir people into action (Aries). Neptune uses inspiration, imagination and often fantasy in his creativity. You may be embarking in a major spiritual war even though you think you are fighting for collective freedom. This may overwhelm you if you're not spiritually prepared.

Remember that Leo shines, but Aquarius enlightens. 

The Sun Moon opposition means some kind of 'culmination', acknowledgment, definite realization that can overwhelm or upset you in a way that you don't feel in control anymore. This energy may have different outlets. The collective consciousness that the Sun illuminates in Aquarius can be expressed in a dramatic way by the masses symbolized by the Moon in Leo. Aquarius is a cold mental sign, try to be objective. Certainly do not let yourself be dragged by your emotions.

In your personal life, this energy will probably be reflected in your significant relationships. You and your partner may be butting heads not able to back down your respective positions. Leo and Aquarius are solid fixed Signs after all, they commonly err by stubbornness and obstinacy. You both need to find a balance between achieving goals and enjoying the moment, between committing and keeping your independence. The fixity makes confrontations between partners very difficult to reconcile because they are both anchored, determined to defend their position, and have a hard time changing.

However, the Full Moon in Leo is also festive, full of natural vitality and youthful creativity. This weekend is a good time to add more joy to your life as much as possible. A positive way to use this energy is doing something out of the norm without strings attached or trying to achieve any objective that cannot be reached immediately. Some ideas are: group activities, sharing moments with friends, going to a restaurant, or playing guitar and singing new songs with your tribe. Also look for the truth as best you can. Soon after, the Moon square Uranus and may trigger some unwelcome surprise.
