November 3 - Venus in Sagittarius waning trine to Chiron 

By now, we have completely understood our own Love wounding. We saw it fully with the Venus Chiron opposition in September. We were challenged to make adjustments accordingly with the quincunx last month.  The insights have been internal though, but now it's time to show the results in the outside world. Someone or something appears in our life that makes us realize the progress we have made accepting our vulnerability and loving ourselves. We realize that even though we are wounded, we still have the right and ability to exist, love and be loved.

While with the waxing trine we tend to perpetuate stressful relationships, or attract relationships that are not satisfying; with the waning trine we tend to have gained a profound understanding of the karmic (conditioning) sexual experience that makes us stick to or break with that partner. Venus in Sagittarius doesn't focus much on the details, she has a broader perspective of enjoying adventures and exploring a spiritual experience together. She's sympathetic, generous and optimistic. This feels comfortable for the wise Centaur Chiron.

By assuming the new insight and assimilating it within, we are ready now for the next step. Since the Moon in Aquarius sextiles both, Chiron and Venus, the emotional detachment supports the clear vision we've achieved. We may now accept that new partner because we understand the love dynamic between our own wound and his or hers. On the other hand, with the new perspective of one's own wound, one may understand that it's better to stay away, or break free from the present partner. In any case, there are more possibilities to heal self love and relationships.  If there is a break up or a new tie in the horizon, it will probably not happen until the next third quarter square, when Venus enters Capricorn.

Your wound is your strength

November 21 - Mars in Scorpio quincunx Chiron in Aries

Because he is its traditional ruler, our warrior Mars is at home in the Sign of Scorpio. Tired of being frustrated in Libra, trying to reconcile, having to consider the desires of others as well, looking for justice and not getting it, now he can be assertive, and act with determination.

On the other side of the zodiac, Chiron is unsettled with his feelings of not belonging, and his inability to be recognized for who he is, as he is. Chiron represents the people protesting around the world asking for recognition of their existence, and their right to participate in the distribution of resources in order to survive. It is the limping body of Humanity, with its primordial vulnerability, with the fragility of its disempowerment.

However, Mars, as also the ruler of Aries, where Chiron is, and now transiting in Scorpio, can stubbornly fight to uncover secrets, defy authorities and conditionings. Mars in Scorpio not only can he act obsessively, but can be subversive, manipulative, and can use undermining tactics. Their inconjunct relationship produces tense circumstances, events, that can either make the warrior be passionately aggressive or have Chiron excessively suffering. Considering the closing Mars opposition to Uranus, (exact Nov. 24) violent explosions of anger, impulsive and unexpected disruptions can provoke anger and even military attacks in reaction to people's demands of freedom.

November 26 - New Moon 4º ♐︎ trine Chiron

Be in the look out for my New Moon report, where I will read the whole chart. The Moon and Sun make a waning trine to Chiron, which is the point of maturation and sharing of the emotional balance achieved at the 'fullness' (opposition). This is a very comfortable and harmonious creative energy that we can use in order to heal the feelings of unworthiness, insufficiency, and disadvantage of our identity.

If we make conscious efforts to accept our vulnerability and heal, this is a protective energy that sheds the light of understanding on our issues. We can become more compassionate with our own 'wound' and more empathetic with the others'. If we try to find refuge in our victimization though, we may end up throwing a hypersensitive temper tantrum ('poor me' syndrome).

The Sun (Apollo, Chiron's adoptive father, see the post about the Sun's trine)  always helps us manifest an expression of the healing, either by showing an assertive attitude, finding a creative purpose or by becoming healers of ourselves and others.

November 26 - Venus square Chiron

This is the last quarter square, which is waning. So, it is a time of deep psychological experiences that ask for change and for a break with the past patterns of behaviour related to our sense of inadequacy and our vulnerability. Something in a relationship can put the finger in your wound and once more we we feel the pain. "I'm not good enough", "he/she would never accept me", "they reject me because [fill in the blank]". You expect more than your partner can or is willing to give, and that can resurface your sense of not measuring up, feeling inadequate or unwanted. The solution would be to reflect objectively and evaluate all the qualities that you have to make the relationship work, in spite of any perceived fault. This way, you're forced to recognize the ways in which the partnership is balanced with equal give and take. The last quarter between planets is the crisis in consciousness, when we realize something that needs to be incorporated.

Both the Moon and the Sun in Scorpio shed their light on the underworld, on the hidden realm of Psyche, the chambers of the occult. The Moon, which represents our unconscious perceptions and reactions, is completely hidden ('burnt') by the bright light of the Sun. Something new is about to start.

Shocked by the opposite electrifying and liberating influence of Uranus, Lord of the Sky, the New Moon helps us to suddenly realize a truth coming from a higher perspective. The information we receive today has been deeply buried, in the profound chambers of the occult, and is certainly accessed through an emotional intensity that only Pluto can give. The aspect the Luminaries make to Pluto, Scorpio ruler, indicates that the situation to which the information relates, comes to a stable conclusive point, like an eureka moment. We never know what Uranus can bring, he's neutral, impersonal, detached, sudden and totally unexpected. For each individual, it all depends on your personal chart. 

Of importance to note, is the New Moon square to next Solar Eclipse at 4º Capricorn coming up a day after Christmas, coincidentally trine Uranus and square Chiron. Then, this New Moon may foreshadow what's coming with it, so we are to open our eyes and ears, and listen attentively, as it may provide us with the information to prepare for any unexpected event. The New Moon is also in a tense aspect to Chiron in Aries. At the beginning, our discovery or revelation creates a conflict with our sense of inadequacy, it hurts right where we are most vulnerable, and demands a reconsideration of our wholeness. The hot issue of discord is probably the rejection of people's cultural, religious, ethnic or gender identities. People feel the need to prove that no matter what happened, or what our deficiency is, we are good enough, complete, we have the right to exist and the same human needs as everybody else. 

There is a great possibility that what we are learning about is related to intimate, business or global relationships. First, because the sign is Scorpio (shared bed or shared money); second, because Mercury (thinking) and Venus (desires) have already traveled hand in hand this part of the sign, 'discussing' their secrets. Now near the end, closing on their conjunction (October 30), they are probably coming to certain conclusions in their conversation about what they really want and do.

Mars in Libra is not a diplomat, he is a warrior! In some cases, people are tired of negotiations to achieve fairness and justice and with great frustration have come out to the streets to protest. In other cases extremist factions are spreading terror with violent attacks related to matters that have been dragging on since the start of the Capricorn Cancer Eclipse Season. Third case is the opportunity for terrorists to use the popular protests to advance their cause with violence.

The automatic response as Mars exactly squares Saturn, and approaches the square to Pluto in Capricorn, is a strong authoritative reaction bringing the military to the streets to ensure the security.  Mars square Saturn and the Moon Nodes is evidencing that the stronger the protests and the louder the popular demands for fairness, the more repressive governments get. Unfortunately, in the next couple of weeks, not only things can get hotter, but uglier as well.

Mars still squaring the Moon Nodes fights against the institutional oppression, restrictions, polarization and separation in order to find the safety, comfort and nourishment that human beings need (as marked by the North Node in Cancer). However, as I stated before, it seems that extremists groups may use the frustration of regular people to spread violence and chaos as well, in order to gain power and control by fear. If only the elitist leaderships of the world will just for a moment hear the people's cry for fairness, extremism could be avoided.

Personal relationship negotiations and the give-and-take balance are frustrated by the past restrictive conditionings that are no longer valid today. There is a need to leave behind self deprecating thinking and self undoing behavior. One’s actions or the actions of others may trigger the change that can liberate us from the past karma holding us back to repeat the past. I already said it, something's got to give. When there is tension and opposition, an elastic band can stretch, a stick brakes.

Mars is also out of balance with Neptune. The actions taken may be impractical, based on some utopian idealism or on imagined threats or delusions, that may end up in the loss of freedom and credibility. Also impulsive disproportionate reactions can be unproductive, inadequate, or ineffective, and result in one having to retreat the advances. This kind of energy is better used for folk dancing, virtual dating, or swimming.

This New Moon is very introspective and transformative. The energy invites us to look within, to reflect, to take a look at the dark chambers of our soul, to integrate them, to heal. Also, consider that Mercury will be retrograde soon and will be turning back on his steps to take a deeper look at the present issues. Whatever happens today is subject to revision, so it's not a good time to make important and life changing decisions. If we do, will most probably miss the fine print! If you are scared, go watch a horror movie to let it out. If you are indecisive, go dancing! If you have too much energy or anxiety, have sex with your partner! Never let anger out to hurt others. One always regrets it.

Full Moon in Aries - October 13, 2019

Full Moon in Aries conjunct Eris

The Moon, our yin energy, at her apogee, completely illuminated by the opposing Sun, has a meeting with Eris, the Goddess of Strife and Discord. The Moon reaches her fullness of emotional power in the Sign of Aries, the house of Mars, the warrior, who, by the way, is the brother of Eris! We can expect conflicts to heat up even more. With a Golden Apple, Eris provoked the Trojan War, that's how we still use the expression 'the apple of the discord' referring to the cause of a conflict. How current! -you think.

That is just the introduction. In my daily posts, I have been saying that things will heat up a notch or two. The events around the world confirm the cosmic message. Can we see that 'as above, so below'?Astrology is a language; through the symbols and archetypes we read our worldly story.

The Sun Moon Axis is exactly squared by Pluto's concentrated demolition in Capricorn. And like if that is not enough, the Moon trines Jupiter and the Sun sextiles Jupiter. That is to say, that things will acquire even colossal -grotesque? proportions!

Mars, the ruler of this Full Moon is fortunately in Libra, attempting diplomatic negotiations in favor of people who are suffering (Chiron in Aries). But it's at odds with the value changes Uranus is operating in the area of resources, and the material reality of the earth, like nature, climate, water, raw materials, financial markets, etc. Uranus and Mars are not on the same page. Uranus wants freedom from constrictions, innovation, he has eccentric desires, like using technology to produce organic food, to feed humanity so we are not added to the list of almost extinct species. Mars in Libra hopes he can reconcile the polarities, so people can live in harmony and cooperation, no matter their skin color, their ethnicity, belief system, etc.

Mars in Libra is ruled by Venus, who in turn rules Taurus, where Uranus is. And Venus in Scorpio, ruled by Pluto in Capricorn, opposes Uranus. In the end, the Moon is ruled by Venus, but Venus is ruled by Pluto. Therefore, the Moon is overpowered by the Lord of the Underworld. We can see the decomposition, purging and purification in the realm of desires, values, finances, and power struggles in relationships. Detox time! Superficiality, banality and  frivolity will not do anymore. Venus wants the raw and pure substance of our heart. Uranus can operate a revolution, can liberate, can introduce innovation, technology in order to save the world resources.

Full Moon of Relationships

In the playground of relationships, the energy demands actions to balance or counterbalance power. If one has been disempowered in the exchange, has been at the receiving end of abusive behaviour, victimized, cheated, if the relationship was already screaming for change, this is the time to walk away and empower oneself.  If, on the other hand, someone has been manipulative, obsessive, jealous, even violent, at this time, the relationship will break as well, and his or her power will be taken away.

For a long while, Pluto has been smashing into powder the obsolete structures, conventions, beliefs, restrictions, social standards that rule those relationships. (I.e. 'I don't want to divorce because I will lose the big house/high status/social image/lifestyle') Uranus now urges to value something different, out of the norm, instigates a love rebellion, the need to break the mold.

If a person has repressed her or his sexuality because it goes against what society considers acceptable, this is the kind of energy that will liberate that person. Very intimate, hidden, even taboo relationships issues will be forced to come out into the light of this Full Moon for resolution.

I think one lesson we learn from Mars in Libra is that violence only aggravates the issues. As the Buddha taught, the more one fights against something, the stronger it gets. Moreover, we often fight the symptoms, not the root of the problem, which more often than not, is the fact that we don't consider the needs of others. After knowing the real cause of the problem, the best way to use the Marsian energy is to sit at the table, find solutions, make plans, draw projects, and implement them. More work, not fight! or Make love, not war!

20º ♑️ , the Apex of the T-Square

Saturn spent a long time at  20º ♑️, direct from April 4 to 29, 2019; retrograde from April 29 to May 25, 2019. Saturn direct will again reach the 20º ♑️mark on December 24, 2019, two days before the Solar Eclipse 4º ♑️.

Pluto was direct at 20º ♑️from 2/6/18 to 3/19/18; and from 12/13/18 to 1/12/19;
Pluto retrograde at 20º ♑️from 5/27/18 to 7/13/18;  and from 8/24/19 to 11/10/19.
AND, two eclipses have occurred opposite, at 20º ♋️: Solar Eclipse 7/13/2018 and Lunar Eclipse 1/10/2020.

I invite you to go back and research the World news during those periods. The trend is that people everywhere are rebelling against an untenable oppression by the current political powers (Capricorn South Node of the Moon) that hoard the resources. People are fighting for food, shelter, safety, and the protection of their families (Cancer North Node of the Moon).  The powers that be are crumbling down, no matter how much they cling with nails and teeth to their seats or walls.  Their myopia doesn't let them see. It's unfortunate because it's obvious that the polarization is increasing to the point of unavoidable conflict. It would turn out to be another 'David and Goliath' fight. We would be praying and hoping that it could be solved just by having two champions face each other representing each faction, however, it may not be the case. It may look a lot uglier than that.

Two days before the historical Saturn Pluto Conjunction, January 10, 2020, the Lunar Eclipse at 20º ♋️will oppose the 20º ♑️where Pluto is stationed at the moment, and where he dwelled for so long before. Do you have natal planets or points around 20º of cardinal signs?

Moreover, it is very significant that freshly ingressed Mars in the Sign of Libra, he opposes Chiron on October 8, 2019. It is that day that we hear news about the aggravation of conflicts in the Middle East, and there are even talks of expanding the Syrian War. If this Full Moon, with its Plutonian emotional charge, does not exacerbate that situation, November 4, when Mars square Pluto will certainly do it.

There is a Grand Water Trine between Mercury in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces, and the North Node in Cancer. Mercury and Neptune both sextile Saturn and the South Node, which completes the formation of an astrological 'kite' configuration.

The Apex being the North Node of the Moon in Cancer, indicates a determined intention to focus all the other planetary energies towards it. Like the prow of a ship, it shows the direction where we're going, which is, as I said before, protecting our safety, the security and nourishment of children and families, the need for human survival, obtaining the essential means, shelter and nutrition to support emotional stability. In your personal chart, if Cancer is your first house, then you'd strive to create those in yourself. If it is the third, you'd look for a small group of siblings or other family members than your immediate ones. If it is the fifth, then your children will be your concern and the source of those basic elements.

A Grand Water Trine involves the emotional Signs, so the motivational energy to operate the societal transformations will be our feelings. The trine harmoniously combines emotional change (cardinal Cancer), emotional stability (fixed Scorpio) and emotional flexibility (mutable Pisces). This trine generates the deeper understanding (Mercury in Scorpio), artistic or spiritual inspiration (Neptune in Pisces) and motherly care to support us (NN in Cancer) through the profound transmutations operating in the worldly scene, in the political and economical arenas.

The emotional body will have the best answers to solve any relationship conflict. Our gut feelings never lie. Moreover, it is through the emotional body, by experiencing strong emotions, like anger, passion, fear, rage, frustration, depression, jealousy, that we actually learn who we are, what we want. By learning to manage those strong emotions, we learn how to harness them and direct our power efficiently. So, fly the kite!
