Mercury opposite Uranus

    All of the sudden, you get it! In the middle of the night, the lightning strikes and you see. In a fraction of a second you understand and life turns upside down. That's Uranus impact on your mind (Mercury). 

    A friend may give you a shocking surprise and your relationship changes forever. Your neighbor may act erratically and do something that you would have never thought he or she could do. 

    Generally, your mind function becomes spasmodic, you're nervous, your ideas are unsounded, and your daily routine is disturbed more than once. You may turn around without being able to focus or get anything done. Your thinking is so scattered, that you cannot focus efficiently on the task at hand. When someone cross your path, you feel irritated easily. 

    Classically, Uranus disrupts communications and the devices functions. Also, telecommunications could suffer intermittent interruptions. If you're working on an important project, and you can't take the day off of it, breathe deeply and be patient, realistic and practical. This too will pass. 

    The world may surprise us with a shocking news, revealing financial secrets, or the media may broadcast a completely out of the norm event that can put us on edge. UPDATE: here is a perfect example of this influence: FBI archives (Mercury) have been hacked (Uranus).

    Well, you know the cliché, "with Uranus, anything can happen!" Absolutely anything! Even what we think could happen, may not happen. Nonetheless, whatever this opposition brings may be liberating in some way, and clear the space for something entirely new and very different. It can also show up in your relationship conversations. You may be doing the same old same old and bam! your partner freaks you out asking for divorce or separation. 

    Healthwise, your digestive system may suddenly give you trouble, or you may experience respiratory irritation. Don't immediately assume that it is the infamous virus, it could just be a seasonal allergy, especially considering that it is the Fall/Spring time. Your voice may be troubled while speaking by some irritation in the throat. Also possible are new nervous tics, incidents of poor blood circulation, especially in the lower leg, or ankle sprains.

 

You've been forewarned, so be careful and listen mindfully before reacting. Take care.

Daily Transits - November 11-12, 2021

 

    From the Sign of Scorpio, Mercury (November 11), Mars (November 12), both quincunx (inconjunct) Chiron in Aries. This is the second quincunx (210º) corresponding to the transformational energy of Scorpio. The first one (150º) corresponds to the analytical and healing energy of Virgo when we were looking for a 'medicine'. Now, we find the transformational power of our wounding. This quincunx may arise feelings of frustration for our vulnerability. Now that the media are announcing the fourth or the fifth wave of the infamous bug, people may tend to overlook the risk, or overcompensate for it. Some will underplay or overplay the wound, avoid the feelings by magnifying the other planet's archetype.

    With Mercury, we may have the tendency to obsessively think about the injustice that brought us that particular vulnerability. You may find opportunities to talk about the hurt you feel and make it look more pathetic. You may lack confidence in your expressions, trying to keep your opinion to yourselves. Powerful disclaims may not be able to hide facts about the current health issues. People may feel the intense push and pull of diverse opinions regarding the approach, prevention or treatment of the 'wound'. And some may withhold information and data about the evolution of the 'wave' for their own profit. Others may experience the rejection of their ideas when they present alternative ways of approaching, prevent or treat the health threat, so they rather keep silent, even though they may have a very sound solution.

    With Mars, keep in mind that it governs the sign of Aries where Chiron is now. Secret actions may be undertaken to avoid facing the pain, or to allow healing. This quincunx hinders assertiveness, and you may feel frustrated in your healing efforts. On the other side of the spectrum, some will become healing heroes by their deeds, but their impulsiveness may not be rewarded, on the contrary they may experience criticism or blocks. You could find yourself intensely focused on finding a way out of the current dilemmas when it comes to the pandemic. 

    Regardless of their efforts, activists may waste their wits preaching their ways to approach our 'wounding', be it the climate issue, pollution or the pandemic, because politicians and Heads of State will turn a blind eye on such issues, often brushing away their own words. It's up to every individual to change their mind and heart, and adopt new values, new principles to live by. It is imperative for us to change our lifestyle, especially in the developed (developed?) world. The underdeveloped world is the one mostly suffering the consequences. Here is an example among so many.

    In a few days, November 14 exactly, a kite will form in the sky around the MakeMake (activist) opposition to Chiron (wounding healer) with Ceres in Gemini (agriculture information/ideas) and Saturn in Aquarius (scientific regulation/systems organization). (I was made aware of this Carmela DiMartine's fine article by a Facebook follower.) My interpretation is that the protests (MakeMake) against human actions that threaten our survival (Chiron in Aries) will be supported by scientific findings, and new data about how to feed the masses (Ceres in Gemini) that, in turn, will result in the collective and private sectors taking sounder measures, developing new systems and innovative technologies (Saturn in Aquarius).

Let's fly the Kite now.

Let's not wait for the leaders to do the work we, each individual, can do.

Mercury Conjunct Mars and Square Saturn

    Mercury conjoins Mars for a second time because of Mercury's retrograde in Libra. Back then, your mental irritation was about relationships, or some one-on-one dynamic exchange. If you remember, you were probably verbally wrestling, forcefully trying to impose your will on the other (square to Pluto), and feeling frustrated because you were not able to obtain what you wanted. Maybe there was a passive aggressive response from one or the other. 

    Now, the struggle is a little different even though you still may feel the push of an underhanded will force because they are now in Scorpio, and already in orb applying to the opposition with Uranus. You may feel an emotional surge rumbling underneath like a hot volcano, but the Saturn square puts a lid on it so you have to keep your disagreement, exasperation or indignation to yourself for now. You may not be able to clear your throat of that angry congestion. 

    Nonetheless, the nuisance is still very alive and the energy has to go somewhere.  In fact as the days pass, it goes in crescendo. Be careful, driving, walking, running too fast and carelessly because something may block your impulses and cause you an accident. Mercury Mars aspects also relate to respiratory congestion, especially due to air pollution or airborne contagion, because of the sign of Scorpio. To keep your digestive system clear of discomfort, you may want to avoid spicy food, and make sure your food is perfectly fresh. 

    Keep in mind that these planetary contacts are setting the stage and leading up to the Mercury and Mars opposition to Uranus in a few days (13 and 17 of November respectively), which promises to be the explosive culmination of what started January 20, 2021. Remember?

Daily Transits - November 7, 2021

 What Kind of Earthquake?

Uranus in Taurus?

    As Venus entered in Sagittarius and Mercury in Scorpio forming a perfect Yod with the North Node at 1º of Gemini, closing the 18 months Nodal season there the Biden Administration announces the passing of a monumental infrastructure bill. The country is clearly setting its North on typical Gemini themes, Internet communications made more widely available to isolated geographic places, faster Internet access, building bridges, trains, and roads. However, the administration doesn't yet know where will the money come from, and THAT could be the Apple of the Discord represented by the Pluto Eris long lasting square. 

    The most significant energy accumulates now in Scorpio. It started with the November Moon Cycle initiation November 4 at the New Moon. And, Mercury adds its fast moving legs that may speed up things in there. 

    This New Moon is the gate to the Eclipse Season, and it culminates in the Taurus Lunar Eclipse at 27º14' on November 19, conjunct the Fixed Star Algol, which gives it an ill-fated forecast. 

    However, before we get there, Mars, traditional ancient ruler of Scorpio, transiting his own home base, will square Saturn on November 10, and oppose Uranus November 17. That will set up the stage for the aforementioned eclipse.

    You can count on your actions being blocked or challenged by political or social authorities. You may have to wait for a better time to do something you're very focused on doing. Or you may need to follow some rules, apply some restraint and discipline in order to achieve it. And when you are able to do it, it may be a failure or someone may show an index finger to you and tell you, "I told you so", and criticise you for your move. In the end, it may take more than one attempt to finish your project. 

    Then, Mars rams head on against Uranus, and the Earth may tremble, as usually does when these two are at odds. With Uranus in Taurus since 2018, we already know what to expect: earthquakes, eruptions, land ravages due to destructive flooding, animal extinction, soil pollution by chemicals, catastrophic wind storms. This time, with Mars in Scorpio, we may hear news about some new or old cattle illness ravaging thousands of animals. However, to refer to the symbolic Wall Street Stock Market Bull (properly chosen symbol since Taurus rules finances), the 'earthquake' may just be a pronounced financial downturn, sending waves across the globe.

    In addition, in the USA, the full Mars Uranus is the culmination of what was started on January 20 at their conjunction, which reaches its maximum potential. You may remember the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony with heavily armed security that looked like one of the South American Coups of the Sixties and Seventies, even though this was a Constitutionally elected President. Presently, we may hear echos of it from one camp or another, and they may turn up to be explosively loud.
