Aspects to Chiron in Aries - March April 2019

The Luminary couple

The first visitor Chiron received in his new home in Aires was the Sun at 1º on March 22, 2019.  However, the Full Moon in Libra on March 20th was in a tight orb of 1º.  I consider that both, the Sun and the Moon have shed light on the identity Wound of Aries. What was your wound? It has probably been a deeply emotional week for all, in one or two areas of life, and most especially within close relationships.

This week, it was probably a time to go deep inside, want to stay quiet, and observe the turmoil. Considering that the Full Moon also was loosely square Pluto and the South Node (8º and 6º respectively), the emotional pressure is not negligible. It affects more those who have planets or angles near those degrees in any of the cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).

There has been people questioning if it is still worthwhile to continue with a partner who mostly causes heartbreak and takes all the good energy they have. Maybe -they think, 'I should be better off alone'. Others have reached a point where they have to sit down and put the issues on the table to really take a closer look and find out a solution. 'What do I need that I don't get in this relationship?" kind of questions. Those who are not in an intimate  relationship, are also looking deep inside to their own wound, and try to put together the broken pieces.  Whichever the case, Pluto is the pressure cooker, inciting us to change... or rather transmute. Many are brave enough to respond to the call.

It is definitely worth taking the transmutation journey and  look forward to a better happier freer life, and wider horizons of wellbeing.
After all, what is the meaning of life without real Joy?

The Messenger and the Lady
Mercury, the messenger of the Gods. Greek Mythology

Mercury is the next visitor Chiron will receive April 20th, 2019, at 3º. Mercury in Aries is a fast impulsive communicator. He may blurt out his hurt, his truth. Otherwise, Mercury in Aires with Chiron can impel us to reflect on our wound. It can even impair communication, understanding or writing. Coming out of Pisces, he might have found out some inspiration or insights from the spiritual realities that is ready to share impulsively without much reflection in Aries. His message may be about identity trauma, an expression of suffering. On the other hand, it could hurt someone else or draw a painful reaction from the audience. The advice is to be careful and empathic with our speech.

Closely followed by Venus, Silver Wings Mercury may bring a love letter, or maybe he will be Her Majesty's announcer. Either way, good news should arrive when this Lady makes her majestic entrance into the chambers of Chiron.  Maybe they bring the answer those lovers have been looking for. As Jeremy Neals, Astrologer, says "True love cannot be made without Chiron".

Love in human life is as necessary as food and water. Babies cannot survive without it. Adults only survive without it. Whether we have a partner or family to love, Love is an essential part of human life. If alone, we have to learn how to provide it for ourselves. If in relationships, we have to learn have to give it and receive it. The wound that Chiron represents in our Natal Chart shows us the place where we most need TLC. For example, if it falls in the first house, we are challenged to learn how to love ourselves, imperfections, shortcomings and all. If it falls in the seventh, we are challenged to learn how to choose an appropriate partner, or relate to another human being. When we relate to others, all areas of life are involved, especially the ones that hurt. They need to be included as well.

The vulnerable areas -where Chiron is, are the hardest to manage in a relationship. Because we don't know how to heal, at first, we project the wound onto the partner, and they do the same onto us. Venus visiting your natal Chiron -or transiting Chiron in this case, is a balsamic relief. It helps us sooth the rawness of the wound, care for it, treat it with compassion, understanding, patience. Even though, Venus is not the unconditional love Neptune can give us, we can get a glimpse of what true love may be.

Venus can show us, though, that we all hurt for a valid reason, consciously or unconsciously. We all are broken one way or another, and still whole. When we remember this with compassion, we can then establish a harmonious and balanced love exchange, where both parties receive what they need. However, the whole process only starts within ourselves, when we understand that we are lovable in spite of our faults, when we look in the mirror and say to ourselves 'I love you' sincerely, with all our own heart. Then, we are ready to love.

The Actor

April 4th, Mars has entered Gemini and then sextile Chiron now at 2º Aries. He is the one giving us the opportunity to take actions, repair, or make decisions about what Chiron represents there. As Aries is a different area of life for each person, you can find out in your own chart, what is the window of opportunity that Mars is opening for you. Mars in Gemini gives us lots of conversation, and sometimes, he can be aggressive. In connection with Chiron, the conversations can be wounding if aggressive... or healing if assertive. A sextile aspect is just a possibility, the beneficial energy that can help us do something, but it is up to us to use it.

One important thing to point out is that Mars is the ruler of Chiron in Aries, therefore, any Mars transits to Chiron are important, in particular squares and opposition. This will be the subject of other posts that I will write along the way.

Chiron Transiting Aries - Part V - Cancer and Capricorn

Chiron in Aries in the 10th House

(maybe for Cancer Rising Sign)

The assertiveness of the Aries 10th house is tainted with Chiron's awkwardness in public, in public functions. Feeling unsatisfied about one's social status, function or performance, one looks for recognition. One is always going the extra mile, because it seems that one's efforts are never enough, never correct, never well accepted. One can feel that doesn't fit or perform well in the social arena, in the chosen career, and in general with authority figures. It's the 'I am a loser' subconscious mentality. Bosses can put increasing demands on us, making us feel that we are not doing the job correctly or that we are outsiders.

One can feel unworthy of the social role, or of career promotions or opportunities. Bosses may overlook us for a promotion because of our insecurity feelings. Then, we may either overreact or under react. We may work harder in order to prove our capacity. The same way, exaggerated or unskilled efforts can be made in the public activities, in an attempt to be identified with a better performance, but ending up with a pitiful showoff. Overreaction (impulsivity, aggressiveness) will show as a strive for acceptance and acknowledgment. Under reaction (even passive aggression) will, on the contrary, show as resignation to the belief that we are not worthy of the public recognition, so we stop fighting thinking that is useless and attracting the commiseration of others. With Chiron transiting Aries in this area, we are and we manifest what we deeply believe we are in an impulsive reactive manner.

Another common reaction for this and all the Chiron placements and transits, is the tendency to teach others how to overcome the very same problems we are facing, avoiding thus the need to look our own self and heal from the inside out. We are especially skilled at attracting our same kind of Chiron, so we can look at ourselves in their mirror. But our efforts to help or fix others -who often are not requesting our help- is just another way to escape our own wound.

The healing journey here is to learn about who you really are in the public eye, 'know thyself' based on facts, objectively, and take the appropriate action accordingly. We can change our feelings and beliefs with conscious mental work in the polarity of the fourth house, so we can anchor the emotional footing there. There is certainly a process of observing what works and what doesn't, but not of blame for what we are not. Setting reasonable goals and controlling the Arian impulsiveness will be helpful. There is a need to approach our public identity in a detached manner in order to feel satisfied.

Chiron in Aries in the 4th House

(maybe for Capricorn Rising)

In the 4th house Chiron struggles with the identity related to emotional security, as in family and nurturing themes. Issues may arise related to the less present parental figure, be it mother or father, the one that was less present or absent. Fears may appear about not feeling able to provide emotional comfort for ourselves or others. With Aries in the 4th house we are naturally either more assertive, proactive, impulsive or even aggressive. So with Chiron visiting here, our actions may be more impulsive or reactive.

Chiron transiting the fourth house will arise painful feelings of being an outcast. Our emotions can be so much out of the norm, that may trigger isolating behaviors or projections onto our closest relationships. As always with Chiron, the reaction can be closing up completely and ignore overbearing feelings, or develop oversensitivity. One may also attract people who need nurturing, emotional soothing and security, even someone who needs 'mothering', because this is the way we 'escape' our own wound.

Even one's relationship to the mother or mother figures in one's life may be affected by distorted feelings. During the next seven years, pay attention to how you relate to your  own mother, or a mother to be, or another mother figure. There is probably time to learn something new about your identification with this archetype, your own personal family history,  and even past life family traumas. You may have abnormal sensitivity, too much or too little, because of an actual or perceived hurt. These relationships can be a great source of discovery about your deepest conflictive feelings related to home, family and safety issues.

But our efforts to help others -who often are not requesting our help- is just another way to escape our own wound.

In general, you will find yourself a lot more sensitive, even intuitive, with what you would perceive as an inadequate, exaggerated, excruciating empathy, in a manner that will make you either shut down or overreact to situations, especially with women who are mothers. You may tend to avoid or ignore relationships, situations and events that arouse those feelings.

As always, healing comes when we observe and learn to become aware of the internal process we experience. Read my previous posts about transiting Chiron in Aries in other houses.
