Will the US government allow midterm elections ?

The opening chart is the 'birth' as it were of the Voting event.
Given that the people of the United States of America are now anxious to participate in the midterm elections, here is the analysis of the November Midterm Election charts. The start of the day at 7 am shows the Scorpio Rising Sign at the Capital of the country with all four angles in fixed Sign, which already indicates difficulties to make changes and a tendency to hold on to the status quo.
The ruler of the Ascendant is Mars and is found at the top of the chart in Leo, separating from a square to the Ascendant by 5º orb of angle. Mars and the Sun are in mutual reception, meaning that Mars is in Sun ruled sign of Leo and the Sun is in Mars ruled sign of Scorpio, supporting each other. The Jupiter Mars conjunction indicates enormous efforts on the part of Government (10th house) to control the event.
Also notice that the Sun is applying to the square with Mars (8ºorb). This means an authoritarian attitude and the use of the 'might makes right' kind of approach. Such authority figure would be preparing to angrily and impulsively confront the development of the event or perhaps cut (Mars kind of action) its results.
The Sun is obviously rising at that time of the day, but the interesting factor is that it rules the 10th house of governmental authorities. Not only that, but Mercury is traveling in front of the Sun from Earth perspective, which makes Mercury invisible (combust). This means that everything that Mercury rules, namely voting, polls, communications, news, short distance travel, postal service, speech and writing, are all under the command and control of the authorities, or one authority figure in particular.
Mercury is also retrograde, which indicates the need to wait until he comes back direct to the same degree (December 24, 2026) to actually reveal the results. It may also mean that something is repeating from the past. Yet, if all those factors were not enough, Mercury is also contraparallel (declination opposition) to Mars, evidence of the aggressive opposition or attack to the things that Mercury represents (listed in the previous paragraph).
This goes in detriment also of the houses ruled by Mercury, namely the 8th and the 11th houses.
The mundane significations associated with the 8th house are shared resources and the will of the people. Some of the mundane significations of the 11th house are coincidentally, among other things, governmental interference, political parties, geopolitics, national goals, the house of representatives, the senate, legislative activity, acceptance of new technology, political election, and the Constitution. Pluto in Aquarius, the modern ruler of Scorpio, is at the bottom of the chart in the 4th house representing the public in general, but also the electorate and the political party opposing the official one. Pluto is OOB South (2) and direct, which makes those significations more powerful and adds a dose of revolutionary flavor to the event. Uranus is in tight orb trine to Pluto and both are sextiling Neptune. They frame the event in a wider and broader meaning for the world.
The Moon is the ticking clock of transits. She is applying to square Uranus at 11 am, just 4 hours later, to give us a surprise. Expect some disruption, inconsistency, or social disturbance. Before that though she is forming a Yod with the Neptune Pluto sextile at the base. She points to the manipulations with the confusing narratives that have been going around for almost 2 years.
The North Node of the Moon is next to the IC increasing the power of the opposition and the public, adding to the Pluto OOB empowerment. (2)
Closing of the Polls

The polls closure shows the Ascendant in Gemini and the Horizon on mutable signs, this indicates flexibility and possible adjustment to or modification of the results. Mercury retrograde and combust rules the chart of this moment. Mercury is in the 6th house associated with civil service and workers probably because they will be counting votes and creating records. This work will be done under the watch of the Sun (authority).
The main feature is the Rising Uranus in the 1st house trine Pluto in the 9th house, indicating the surprising effect on the international affairs. However, OOB Pluto in the 9th house may also indicate interference of external political or technocratic powers.
The MC and IC angles are in fixed Signs. This may suggest that the official power and the opposition are stubbornly keeping their holds. It would be interesting to remember that Jupiter has swiftly traveled through the Sign of Leo in the second half of the year, but it is now slower, close to the 27º where he will station retrograde on December 12, 2026. His retrograde implies there will be a revision of the event exactly on January 20, 2027 when Jupiter comes back to 23º 40' of Leo.
Saturn retrograde rules the MC and will be back at the same spot on January 16, 2027, to give the last word and seriously put things in their place.
In addition, Jupiter is conjunct not only the IC but also the South Node. This may indicate a return to the past or a more inspirational mood. Ruling the 7th and the 10th house, one might conclude that opponents to the elections are related to the ruling party.
It seems that the Nodal Axis plays an important role given that in both cases it occupies the angles showing the karmic orientation of the event and its results. The North Node is conjunct the MC in Aquarius at the closing of the polls.
The Moon in Virgo in the 4th house is already separating from the square to Uranus. This Moon, only one in the Earth element, representing the public, reacts in practical and analytical ways, asks for order, good organization, wants to solve problems and do it perfectly and exactly. But the ruler of Virgo is that afflicted Mercury under the sunbeams, contraparallel Mars, and retrograde. It would be reasonable to believe that people will come back to review and investigate the results on November 24, 2026 when Mercury comes back to 12º 57' (free farther from the Sun) of the scrutinizing Sign of Scorpio.
Rejoice with Venus and Jupiter in 'good entente' (sextile), but take it with a grain of salt because they are contra parallel by declination.
The predominant element is Fire, next is Water, and then Air. This mixture is perfect to 'make water boil', as it were, meaning that emotions will be really hot. The only one in Earth is the Moon (people).

This chart illustrates the transits at closing time in Washington DC over the Birth Chart of the US.
The transiting Ascendant on the natal 7th house of enemies and alliances feels awkward. It brings the 'other' as prominent. Why - one may ask, the other becomes more prominent in this chart? I let the reader reflect on that.
With the same token, the ruler of the natal Ascendant, Jupiter, is transiting the 9th house of foreigners and foreign affairs. What would that mean? Please think for yourself.
The first natal planet rising on the transiting chart (of the event) is Mars, portending conflict.
Let's notice the prominence of the transit Moon at the top of the chart, marking an elevated position for the public/people. She is exactly square natal Uranus, which gives a revolutionary, erratic, exciting mood and possible rebellious manifestations.
Under a similar consideration, the transiting Sun conjunct Mercury fall in the 12th house of hidden enemies and secret dealings (Scorpio). Its ruler, transiting Mars is in the 9th house of international affairs, which may be interpreted as underhanded dealings of the executive authority (Sun) with foreign powers.
However, the Nodal Axis, now in Aquarius Leo show that US is experiencing the Nodal Reversal indicating 18 months and several eclipses to reckon with the past. The North Node is just 15' of arc away from conjunction with the natal Moon, empowering the people. Their ruler, Saturn transiting with Neptune and Chiron in Aries in the 5th house show the difficulties and obstacles that have undermined the diplomatic affairs, as well as a long awaited celebration. The 5th house of a country can also be related to imperialism and the popularity of a state, therefore those transiting planets are there to help the country come to terms with its past, and its culture of rapacious expansion.
With OOB transiting Pluto in the third house, repression and manipulation of information and people's mind could be expected for 18 more years. Yet, at the same time, Pluto can be a good instrument to unearth dirty laundry, and help people realize the actual idiosyncrasy of this country, beyond what they want to think it is.
It wouldn't be a surprise if the country's government is still at war somewhere and even inside because of its tradition of going to war every time Uranus is in Gemini. Can we expect differently? We shouldn't lose hope though, to do otherwise this time around.
Just a thought to remember on November 3: The people own the power. They delegate it on its representatives who should be the expert employees executing the will of the people.
