Manipulation of the Collective Unconscious
The Neptune Pluto cycle is one of the longest, lasting approximately between 493 and 500 years. They started their current cycle August 1st, 1891 at 8º36' Gemini with the North Node of the Moon. The Gemini 8º corresponds to the Egyptian Term of Jupiter which guarantees global expansion of communicated messages. Gemini ruler, Mercury was domicile applying to a square at 2º3' Virgo. There is a square to the Sun Mars Chiron conjunction in Leo, an opportunity to make money (Venus Egyptian Term) with strategic (Mars) performance (Sun in Leo).
Their sextile lasts some 80 to 90 years. They practically run around the zodiac constantly in sextile. The reason of this article is that after a period of a few decades when they did not have any partile sextile, they are now in a six year period when their sextile will be exact 13 times. Neptune
Neptune represents the inspiration necessary for creativity; the clairvoyance and the vision beyond the material existence that shows what is possible and the horizons one can reach after the veil is pierced. Neptune helps us transcend the mere mediocrity of the material realm through dreams of another kind of world. He is the ideals and the euphemisms, the hope and the illusion of something better. Everything comes from our unconscious, a world that we can only penetrate through reaching higher levels of consciousness.
With Neptune, one can realize that anything is possible, because it is enough to imagine another reality to project ourselves elsewhere, to the future, to another dimension, or to an alternative realm. This is why Neptune is associated with the alternative states of mind when using drugs, drinking alcohol, or in transcendental meditation.
He inspires creators, musicians, artists. Many have confessed that in the creative act, they are taken by something that doesn't seem to be themselves, but comes from an incomprehensible dimension. They talk about downloads of ideas and images.
Of course, fantasy is ethereal, intangible, unfathomable, hard to grasp at times. Then Neptune can also represent delusions, or dissolution of reason as well. When people pierce deep into the spiritual realm, they can 'lose their minds', unable to logically ponder their experience and discern what is 'real' and what is not.
Neptune has no boundaries. That's why he also represents the 'chaos' where everything is mixed together. That's how one comes to understand that material reality is, in fact, part of the spiritual reality; that they are not two separate irreconcilable domains.

Pluto
Pluto, on the contrary, represents the extreme force and intense pressure capable of splitting the atom, transforming biological matter into petroleum, carbon into diamond, or a caterpillar into a butterfly. Pluto kills and gives new life, decomposes or destroys and recomposes and rebuilds. He is the recycler in town. Thanks to Pluto, "nothing is lost, everything is transformed".
He is also extraordinary willpower, a great desire for life. Because of his obsessive and relentless attachment to life, and the material wealth. Pluto is the agent of our deep healing, and even our reincarnation. We can be thrown by him to the darkest corners of our psychological body into the 'night of the soul', but he will bring us back fresh and renewed. This powerful transformation is the subject of the ancient legend of Inanna from Ancient Mesopotamia. In that myth, we are Inanna and Pluto is Ereshkigal.

However, his commonplace meaning includes obsessions, compulsions, exceptional levels of fear, the tiniest and the hugest, extraordinary life crises, and incredible healings.
The sextile or 60º angle

As shown in the graphic from Archetypal Explorer, the sextile of our times started around the mid 40's of lasts about a Century. It had repeated exactitude during the 50's, and then in the 80's and remained within orb for several decades until now. From 2026 to 2032 the exact 60º angle will repeat 13 times, with an average of twice a year. (see dates above)
Their cycle has greatly transformed the way people think because Neptune and Pluto together are able to tap into the collective unconscious, and manipulate it to reform it. With Neptune, one can access the imagination, with Pluto one can reshape 'reality' and subtly impose the new version. This is exactly what the information industry has been doing in order to impose ideologies, political tendencies, medical beliefs, and even commercial strategies to convince us to consume.
The media appeals to the public targeting people's emotional body and imagination in a subliminal way. If they want you to smoke, they say that you will have more friends. If they want you to vote for a certain political party, they will target your most essential needs, for example 'we will cut taxes', 'we will create jobs', 'there is hope', or 'change' whatever is the hot subject of the day. If they need to sell a product that was in overproduction, like was the case of spinach decades ago, they created Popeye, to appeal to children who wanted to grow strong. If they want to sell vaccines, they will appeal to your fear of dying, etc.
This advertising strategy is exactly what Edward Bernays bluntly and openly used and promoted during the 103 years of his life. I recommend you to watch this video to learn who he was and what he did, and how he did it. He is said to be the "inventor" and, I'd say, master of mass unconscious manipulation. Apparently, he is the reason why you eat bacon for breakfast, women smoke, and even why the interventions in Latin America and other places by the government of the United States were accepted as promoting 'democracy' and protection against the 'evil of communism'.
Now let's see the astrology of it. Edward Bernays was born on November 22, 1891 in Vienna, and died on March 9, 1995. Here is his birth chart:
He was born when Neptune and Pluto started their conjunction amble that lasted 3 years, from 1891 to 1893. Both planets strolled along together from 6º to 8º but they perfected the first conjunction on August 1st, 1891 at 8º36'.
His Mercury, ruler of Gemini, sweetened by Venus transits Sagittarius, the Sign of cultural expansion and publishing. Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius and the magnifier of everything he touches, is in the Sign without boundaries, Pisces, and in perfect square to Neptune and Pluto. This helped him expand his publicity reach without limits.
Mercury is out-of-bounds parallel with Ceres, reason why his way of thinking and communicating was so exceptional. His Moon is parallel Neptune and contraparallel Sun, which could be the indicator of his inclination to deception.
He had all the elements to spread the mission that Neptune and Pluto were to accomplish this time around. Remember that each Neptune Pluto cycle lasts around 500 years. Moreover, their cycles starting in Gemini will repeat until the years 3500 and beyond.
Then, a crucial question should be asked: Are human beings actually able to think for themselves? Are we able to free ourselves from the mass manipulation and brainwashing? How can we free ourselves from reactions based on our emotions and basic needs (which are represented by the natal Moon in our charts)?
