The January 12, 2020 Great Conjunction - Part V

Multiple Conjunction in Capricorn

January 12, 2020

Mine is an attempt to read this historical Conjunction chart as the Birth of a New Era for the World. The series starts HERE. I explain the meaning of each Zodiac House using some of the methods I use to read any Birth Chart. This way, the reader will also have a sense of how I work. This is a series of posts revealing the meanings through the houses rulership. Since I analyse the natural zodiac, which starts with Aries, this applies to all signs. You just correlate my description to the zodiac house where each sign falls, i.e. if Capricorn falls in your 7th house, then those energies apply to your personal relationships, if in the 4th house, to your emotional roots, home and family life, etc. I also recommend reading the shadow side of the present Capricorn energy, and the ways to empower yourself, for each sign here.

Pluto, ruler of the 8th in the 10th house. Mars, traditional ruler of the 8th, in the 9th

If you are scared of the dark, this piece is not for you! In modern astrology, the eighth house is Pluto's Underworld domain. It is the place of death, birth, regeneration, and all traumatic psychological crises in between that serve this purpose. That house is the realm of energy merging and regeneration. Energy corresponds to shared resources, finances, banking, state monetary currencies, and sexual intercourse. Eighth house is the area of secret dealings of all kind. Anything that is hidden, occult, and underground, including criminal, pertains to Pluto's domain. Now, with Pluto seating in earthy Capricorn on top of Saturn, the other earnest bad boy of the zodiac, not only are those issues now in the hands of the organized power, but they are institutionalized, regulated, organized in compartments. Like a corps in its coffin during the deathwatch, Pluto’s job is to expose the obscurities to the public.

Examples abound of the structural underground power dominating the world now, from multinational corporations to drug cartels. Democratic governments? If someone still believes that people elect officials that will ‘represent’ their interests, they’re just dreaming in the ninth cloud. The real power is centralized in just a few hands, and the government institutions have to submit to the higher powers that be. Of course, those powers just look after their own interests, that may or may not be the people’s.

History has demonstrated time and again that the hard aspects of Saturn and Pluto have timed unspeakable evil doings among humans as well as profound breakthroughs in Humanity’s evolution. As Astrologers Patrick Watson, Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock have exposed in their thorough research, they are no "Sunshine, rainbows & daisies". In a previous article, I included historical charts to show that during their conjunction the most abhorrent abominations have been done. Wars (World Wars), genocides, exterminations of certain groups of people (i.e. WWII), slavery, bloody invasions and conquests (i.e. Principality of Wales, Ottoman empire, Hernan Cortes in America), building and destruction of walls both, as protection and separation. All of which has produced a regeneration of some kind.

The future transformative crises will most probably be prompted by political leaderships, governmental institutions, or authority figures with oppressive ruling. The Sun is tightly conjunct as well, which suggest the rise of unipersonal leaderships with iron fists.

On a positive note, Astrology, psychic knowledge, and energy healing powers, which fall in the domain of the 8th house, will have their day in the public eye, helping us find a better way. Yet, as always, the result depends on how those tools are used.

Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, sits in the 9th house, which may indicate that the origin and cause of the crises may be aggressive actions performed under the banner of religious beliefs, an ideology, philosophical thought, law enforcement, or political affiliation. Since Mars also symbolizes soldiers, warriors, and the military, his placement may indicate that those come from foreign countries or different cultures. Massive displacements of people are also possible, due to catastrophic natural events, and wars, nothing entirely new, in fact. This would promote a more intense cultural exchange or the exacerbation of xenophobia among peoples.

Pluto and Mars are the Lords of surgery as well; they like to penetrate, cut, and go really deep inside the psyche, that is why most of their deeds are bloody, relentless, forceful and overpowering. Like the birth of a new creature cannot happen without bleeding, whatever regeneration and transmutation is coming, is most certainly bloody.

As it has happened in other historical periods of unrest, traumatic crisis results in the regeneration of the human condition. Mars separating trine from Chiron suggests that certain actions inflicting pain and suffering in the population because of ideologies, are the alternative healing method for the ailing issues of the human condition and are instruments of its evolution. For example, far reaching new technologies being adopted with the objective of bettering the functions of human organs and body, may have adverse effects that lead to transmutation of its physiology. 5G technology and the launching of thousands of satellites to support it, is already controversial scientists already know that will adversely affect human health. Also, intercultural, interracial, or interreligious peaceful contacts or wars (Mars in Sagittarius) obviously cause psychological reprogramming of people’s identities (Chiron in Aries).

Since Pluto, at the same time, makes a quintile aspect with Chiron, creative ways will be used in the world that will amplify and accelerate the transformation not without disturbing our human condition in ways that will reshape our sense of identity. Pluto hard karmic aspect to Uranus adds an intense emotional component to this energetic ‘soup’ that significantly affects the family unit. Of course, the aggressive actions in the international arena (Mars in Sagittarius) should be revised to consider people’s safety and emotional wellbeing as well as the protection of Mother Earth (Mars inconjunct the Lunar Nodes). How much destruction are we willing to endure in order to see better days?

Jupiter, ruler of the 9th house in the 10th, conjunct the South Node of the Moon.

"Don't let your beliefs be in the way of truth" Ajahn Brahm

This picture of  Jupiter in the Olympus, is a perfect illustration of Jupiter in Capricorn, where he can only expand within the limits of the given structure. Far from comfortable, Jupiter in Capricorn has to accommodate his wisdom, knowledge, political views, and legal matters to the institutional structures.
The South Node of the Moon denotes embracing traditional and conservative beliefs systems that have become unpopular and against the modern spiritual trends. There is a tendency to grip to old belief systems even when the evidence shows their decadence.  People's belief systems, ideologies, philosophies, and the concept of truth depend on the leadership’s ruling. This might indicate that any religion, spiritual belief system, philosophy, ideology, may be tightly controlled within the structure of governmental institutions, or led by a certain religious organization.

There can also be an obstruction or detriment to the practice and implementation of justice. Unipersonal forms of government may take justice exclusively in their hands. Expansion and good fortune are delayed, or constraint within the limits of the establishment. Foreign travel may also be restrained or further regulated.

Peoples of different cultures may be at the mercy of rules that restrict their movement, and closely surveilled by the authorities. There is already a tendency to separate peoples of different ethnicity, color, religion, cultural backgrounds, either voluntarily in exclusive communities, or forced by the authorities. Foreigners may need to submit to displacement restrictions, or natives may be forbidden to visit other countries.

Jupiter with the South Node makes people lack faith, and be skeptical. People may forsake religions all together because of lack of trust in their officials, but also because their unsustainable dogma based in  an obsolete cosmology. Moral principles, justice, optimism, enthusiasm, prosperity, hope for the future, long term goals, and even higher studies, all Jupiterian themes are diminished and based or dependent on past ideas or beliefs.

There would be pages and pages to write about this multiple conjunction chart, especially about the houses above the horizon which represent the public life. I leave it at that for now, and invite you to read next Part VI.
