Libra Equinox - What Happens in the USA the Next Six Months

The Elements

Bird's eye overview shows: Fire 2+ Ascendant, Air 2+ Descendant, Water 2+Imum coeli (bottom of the sky). The correct way to count the elements is only taking into account the traditional planets. No Earth whatsoever, except for the Mid Heaven. From the Elements point of view, the energy is equally distributed in Fire (movement, action), Air (communications), Water (emotional), but lacks foundation on reality. In summary, there could be a lot of action and information about that activity that will result in heightened emotional response, but that may not reflect the actual reality.

Modalities

All angles are in Cardinal Signs, which indicates radical changes, being pulled for change in all directions. 

Sect

It is a night chart (night sect), meaning that not only the Sun is in its fall because of Libra, but is also below the horizon and cannot be seen. It is night time! The Moon, Venus and Saturn rule the night. The Moon, Venus and Saturn rule the night. And these three planets are in Signs they don't like, so their energy is uncomfortable. 

Ascendant and its Ruler

Aries Ascendant already talks about impulsive action, the country being assertive/aggressive. Aries is the Sign associated with war. It also represents pioneering, something first or the first time some event happens. The Ascendant degree 26º corresponds to Taurus(1), signifying that the main concern of the country is the economy, money, banks and finances. Taurus also is looking for stability, especially economic security, but its ruler Venus in Scorpio is extremely unhappy which means crisis and a profound transformation. In addition, Venus will turn retrograde and hit the 6º ♏️ 34' on October 15th and again December 13th, 2026, in order to reevaluate things, and make a final decision.

The Ascendant is in the Sagittarius Decan, a Sign associated with fighting for freedom, with enthusiasm and optimism. But Sagittarius is a very impatient warrior, because it holds high ideals of morality and trusts its inspiration. When Sagittarius is convinced of something, it becomes preachy and will spread his convictions far and wide, often by force. If you don't believe me, just look at the US Sibley chart!

The ruler of Sagittarius, Jupiter is in the fifth house at 18º. Astrologer Deborah Houlding (2) says that, at the mundane level, this house represents "he ammunition of a town under attack, ambassadors and diplomats, and all public places of enjoyment and recreation." According to the late astrologer Nikola Stojanovic's "degree theory"(1), the 18º is the evilest one in any sign, associated with cruelty, awful adversity and bad luck. So, already from the Ascendant angle, you see no pretty picture. But that is not all.

The Ascendant ruler, Mars is in Cancer, 4th house and at 26º degree as well. Mars is considered unhappy there also, trying to defend and protect the home country, the land, people, families, homes and houses. Mars is exactly square the Ascendant. This indicates the people is in conflict with the country and maybe fighting to free themselves from identifying or belonging to it in its current situation. And Mars in Cancer is inclined to act surreptitiously, sideways like a crab. Finally, 26º associated with Taurus, Mars is also defending the property of the land, properties in general. There could be real estate problems, land occupation or dismembering of the States union.

If that is not enough, Chiron is rising, representing a vulnerable period. Chiron at 29º, a degree associated with the Sign of Cancer, shows danger in the homeland, for families and people in general. The 29º is also critical, indicating urgency to finish the task. Mars applying to the square to Chiron, means that whatever action is taken will end up causing great harm everywhere. 

The Sun

The Sun in Libra, is of course, debilitated, but being a night chart adds to its weakness. It rules the chart's Jupiter and the 5th house contributing to what was explained before about it. Sun at 0º Cardinal has a global influence, reason why the Equinox chart has such an important incidence for the whole world. 

Sun located in the 7th house of allies or open enemies, competitors or simple opponents, giving them relevance. And it's square Lilith in Capricorn which represents the shadow of control (3).

Issues: control issues; attention-seeking behavior
Projection: negative reaction to bossy, showy, or attention-seeking
people; rebellion against being told what to do."(3)

And,

"The Black Moon in Capricorn manifests as a need to control the course of events. When this shadow dominates, we have a tendency to be demanding. We can go to extreme efforts to gain attention. We have definite ideas about the way things should be and others often succumb to the force of our will. Frequently we refuse to give up until someone –anyone - acknowledges what we have to offer or agrees with what we think is best. A little bit of recognition goes a long way with us, but so does a little bit of neglect, and Black Moon in Capricorn has a long memory. But interpersonal relationships suffer when we wear down another's free will to come into compliance with our own. This results in lackluster relationships where the joyful spark of life becomes extinguished. We are very hard workers, but we can also expect a lot from others."(3)

This aspect may mean that an authority figure is attempting to exercise control using extreme force with the goal to dominate the situation. But the Sun opposing Neptune indicates delusions of grandeur, and a false sense of self, self deception or the open intention to deceive others.

The Moon

Moon in Aquarius focuses intellectually on the future. It's a cold mind, and in the 11th house dominates the collective consciousness. 

It's a gibbous Moon in sesqui-quadrate to the Sun, which indicates that whatever was repeatedly done up to now has not worked out and something new needs to be done (4). 

Conclusion 

There is a lot of information on this chart, but it would be too long of an article. Count on surprising news (Uranus in the third house), financial problems (Venus in the 8th) responding with actions by the public or people (Mars in the 4th), etc. 

The tropical zodiac is based on the Solstices and Equinoxes

In any case, I hope you now have an idea of what to expect for the next three months until the Solstice, when another chart can be dressed for the following three months. However, the Equinox chart may last for six months until the next one in April as well.
