    With the Lunar Nodes approaching the cusp between Gemini and Taurus (North) and Sagittarius to Scorpio (South), the upcoming Eclipse season will already give us a glimpse into the changing themes. You will have an illumination on them as soon as the next month's Partial Lunar Eclipse.

The start of the Scorpio season October 22, 2021 already kicks off the themes. Secrets and shadowy issues are already coming to light all over the world, especially related to those who have held unbridled power over the head of the most vulnerable. As Mercury start to move forward the Pandora papers are being scrutinized, Facebook and other social media giants have to recognize their shameless 'sins' ventilated while Mercury was retrograde. The writer has noticed that, after Facebook outage, some 'dead' have 'resuscitated' in her newsfeed. People who were previously blocked or had mysteriously disappeared, have come back to life!

The axis of Taurus Scorpio is the polarity of value and power, which manifest as energy exchange through resources, and through the natural processes of life, like death, transformation, regeneration, and rebirth. Their common topics are assets, security, stability, control, sex, the uses of the senses, and morality. Taurus corresponds to the lush of Spring when Nature recovers new life. Scorpio, just the opposite, corresponds to the time of the year after the harvest when that which had grown withers and decays to nourish the next crop. 

Because the South Node in Scorpio excretes what has been outgrown, and everything that has reached its expiration date, you can expect to leave behind certain scorpionic subjects in that zodiac house. Generally, a crisis occurs that uncovers your best kept hidden fears, and emotional insecurities. The sense of danger and vulnerability may have caused you to be dishonest, or to hold suspicion, jealousy, or codependent relationships that have disempowered you. When you're scared or at risk of some threat, you look for protection, to be cared for and often you trust the wrong people or a panacea. In this case, you may have been susceptible to treason, betrail, deception. Eventually, with this Scorpio South Node transit you become aware of who or what your enemies are. You face the severe consequences of losing your independence and of compromising your values. You understand the toll you were paying for trusting your safety on something else, or for your loyalty to someone else. 

The simple pleasures of life

    Like a volcano eruption, any imbalance on the axis of managing energy, values and resources could now bring about severe damage to your life. This approximately eighteen-month period will give you the opportunity to rebalance the equation. With the Taurus North Node, you're offered the opportunities to embrace self reliance, and to assume your personal responsibility for your own material security. Instead of leaning on someone else's bank account, resources and values for your needs, you now may be forced to or want to take the reins of your survival by earning your own income, and gathering your 'bear necessities' yourself. You come to realize how life takes care of itself, that Nature is abundant and generous at protecting you. Especially because Uranus is in Taurus the entire period, you will discover solutions in sudden and unpredicted flashes of intelligence. It's important to pay attention to the wise rhythms of Nature to learn how to flow with them, but also how to take advantage of the Uranian innovations. You will simplify your life and feel satisfied with less. In the end, you learn that you can trust the abundance and perfect harmony of life and Nature's processes. 

The rhythms of Nature

    For the next year and a half, you will revise your value system and feel empowered in the process. You will have a good understanding of the implications of sharing resources with another, and how you've become more vulnerable. You will learn about the power of your own energy, even of your sexuality. You will develop a sounder financial strategy to earn, retain and protect your property and money. You will learn to provide for yourself, become autonomous, and give yourself the needed material and emotional security. Managing your own sources of energy with new priorities will be liberating. This will give you great satisfaction realizing that now your life is in your own hands. Then, you will be able to easily enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Mundane Implications

    Due to the Covid Pandemic, the world has seen an unprecedented spending. Not only the Healthcare Systems have been squeezed to the maximum, but all countries have faced financial problems of all kinds. Government spending has gone through the roof trying to protect the most vulnerable populations severely affected by it. From unemployment protection to housing assistance, people has leaned on the Government to save them from diverse dangers including literal death. The South Node in Scorpio and the accompanying eclipses will reveal the excess to have reached dangerous extremes. Governments will struggle trying to balance the books, and the consequences will be dire. We will experience rampant inflation, worse than we've ever seen. In fact, the entire economic and financial system may literally collapse under the weight of impossible debts. Banks as we know them will no longer exist because their current system is unsustainable. 

The North Node in Taurus will bring different innovative currencies that will become normal. Power will be measured by the availability of resources, especially the access to energy and water.  According to ourworldindata dot org, "13% of the world did not have access to electricity in 2016". However, traditional sources of energy are under stress and people struggle now to afford it even in the developed countries. Shortage of energy has multiple implications as you can imagine, from personal to national and international, since our modern life is completely dependent on it. 

Clean water is another basic commodity that has become less accessible due to excessive pollution. Even the potable water is not so clean anymore, and people also struggle trying to purify it enough to be able to drink it without harm. However, even though flooding will be more common, frequent and severe, especially next year with Jupiter and Neptune together in Pisces, other places suffer a severe drought at the same time. Just look at this map of the US to visually appreciate one third of the country under drought conditions, severe in the dark red zone. Last time Uranus was in Taurus in the 30s, the period is remembered as the Dust Bowl. Since Uranus will remain in Taurus for almost four more years, we can count on the worsening of the drought that may result in similar conditions.

Generally, all "bear necessities" of life are on the line, with Uranus in Taurus for 7 years. It reminds of the story of Joseph in the Old Testament. The lack of energy, and a more expensive oil among other factors, will result in transportation problems, which in turns means distribution troubles. Since Pluto, ruler of Scorpio South Node, demolishes all structures of the establishment (Capricorn), and he is in charge of the riches of the earth, we can count on his transforming the way resources and goods are shared, including the sources of energy coming from inside the Earth. More and more people may choose to go back to work the land in a sustainable way to ensure their own survival instead of trusting the distribution chain. 

Political matters, especially the dirty laundry of politics, politicians, and the big powers that be will start to be hanged out in the open, even as the Scorpio season starts, October 22, 2021. Already with the Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus, which will open the Eclipse Season with the first eclipse in Taurus, huge filthy secrets will surprise and outrage honest people. The jaws of Hades will open like a Pandora box, and all hideous crimes will see the light of day. Expect stunning revelations of the worst kind. Scorpio can be a very dark hole at times. It represents the matter that has gone through  decomposition, and exudes such a pungent and offensive smell, that we are forced to let it go. 

For the USA, the Nodal Axis will transit the 12th (Scorpio) and the 6th (Taurus) houses. In addition, within this axis season, the country will experience its Pluto Return. At that time, both Scorpio rulers and the ruler of Taurus, Venus, will be conjunct in Capricorn, its second house of the economy, the Treasury and country resources (including the energy sources). As extensively described in my video series of USA Pluto Return, 2022 will be the most important year for the USA since its foundation. 

Let us prepare for another step in our soul evolution. Let us be open to experience the lessons Scorpio and Taurus have in store for us. We will certainly come out stronger on the other side of this period. May all beings be well.

Mars is energy and Jupiter intensifies it. They create a great surge of energy that you probably already have been feeling, increase strength, powerful initiative, impulsive actions bigger than life. Ruthless assertion in all your activities. An internal fire difficult to contain, so use moderation and self-control in order to use this excess of energy.

Be careful with heavy machinery, cutting tools, bladed weapons or knives. Also careful exercising too much too forcefully, because you may injure yourself. For people who are normally very passive, this surge of energy can be productive because it motivates them to work harder and longer. Depending on where it falls in your chart, your body may generate excessive heat, or fevers, flare ups of muscle aches.

You feel courageous in certain area of your life. If you’re faced with animosity, arguments, or enemies, you may become aggressive, and even resource to violence. Be careful also, and adopt a defensive attitude instead to avoid accidents and fights.

Now, the energy is amped up a notch or two. Mars is the personal will power and Pluto is the creative/destructive power of the Universe. The aggressive Mars conjunct Eris, the Goddess of Discord, is manipulated, coerced, forcibly pushed to action by Pluto's powerful influence. At this time, the anger only sees black and white, all or nothing, life and death. People can easily get entangled into power struggles, be either a subject to domination, fall victims of institutional control, and authoritarian powers, or be the perpetrators of relentless violence or heinous crimes. There is no middle way possible with Pluto. Politics can become really nasty, and even extremely polarized, because Pluto operates on extremes. 

Pluto is also associated with abuse of power, in Capricorn, coming from government. In the mundane context, there could be terrorist attacks, violent crimes, or forceful use of military powers to repress people. Mars is aggression, and Pluto, the power to subdue it. Pluto archetype is also associated with atomic power, radioactive substances, radiation, and chemicals capable of powerful reactions. Let's hope that all atomic energy generators in the world are under proper supervision, and in good working order.

In your personal life, be aware of this incendiary force inside yourself in order to put it to constructive and productive activities, like working with heavy machinery, power tools, making transformative remodeling work, building new with old material, or using compost to enrich your garden. If you’re out and about, and not abiding by what is expected, by rules and regulations, or protesting to defend your right to exist and your independence, you may have an encounter with authority figures that will not be benevolent.

These two planets couldn't be more different. If Mars is impulsive energy, Saturn is passive and steady. If Mars is aggression, Saturn is resistance. If Mars is the initiator, Saturn maintains the status quo and the traditional ways of doing things. If Mars is desire, Saturn is restriction and delays in obtaining what is desired. If Mars is independent and spontaneous, Saturn is circumscription, circumspection, calculation and strategy. Mars gets easily angry and lets the fumes out, but Saturn gets depressed and hold grudges. Mars is energy, Saturn is inertia.

After the previous turmoil, now, come the restrictions. You have a hard time using the surging energy of Mars, your initiative is thwarted, your desires stifled. An authority figure, the societal structures, a political institution, your boss or your father will impose order, control and suppress your action. Your energy can be pent up in frustration. All activities have to wait for more favorable times, patience is required. But with the stimulus of Mars in Aries blocked by the intensity of Saturn stationary (Sep 29), it may mean that you’re boiling inside.

Once again, may I suggest the spiritual practices, meditation and probably a strong fitness program where you can spend all that energy in strenuous physical exercise, if at all possible. However, be careful exercising as well, because this kind of energy may result in bone fractures. You definitely will face delays in obtaining what you desire.

In the mundane context, this may mean that government structures, institutions, and authorities compel to order, repress uprisings, contain rebellious protests, arrest aggressive people. Any use of violence may be matched with extreme repression.

What does it all mean in the end?

Overall, Mars in Aries reclaims the autonomy of existence, a new birth, the right to be, and the spirit of independence. Mars in Aries is the fight against the domination and the power of Capricornian forces of society to subjugate, be it political, institutional, economic or government authorities.

During the last couple of years, with the Nodal Axis in Cancer and Capricorn, humanity has tried to re-balance the yin and yang energies. Women have been reclaiming their equal participation in the building of societal structures, institutional structures and in the decision making. The process was the checks and balances of a reality run only by the male archetype. The yin energy has reemerged reclaiming the lost emotional security (Cancer, home) as opposed to the material security (Capricorn, outside world).
However, some people are still attached with iron grip to the old ways of a yang predominant system, not able to recognize its natural decay. The next six months will make us realize that we have reached the point of no return. Never again will humanity go back to the old world order, because it has decomposed, rotten away and has given birth to a New Era. Humanity is now entering the Aquarian Age.

Deep inside the cocoon? Pluto in the 12th house

If you have an Aquarius rising, Moon or Sun friend, spouse, family member or acquaintance, be compassionate! Pluto is transiting their 12 house in Capricorn.

The 12th house in the Natal Chart is everything that the native can't see. It is his or her spiritual, psychological, hidden nature, the side not shown in public. From dreams to secluded places, it includes the whole range of intangible realms.

Pluto is the recycler planet of the Zodiac. Pluto destroys to recreate. Pluto is the caterpillar that becomes a butterfly, the Phoenix rising from the ashes. Pluto is life and death, dying and rebirth, the regeneration process of life, He rules the life cycle, the becoming of the Seasons.

What does it mean to have Darth Vader (Pluto!) on your nape? Not only He's been there for some time already, since January 27, 2008, but He'll stay there until January 2024. He digs deep, very deep into the dark side of life, into the very profound underworld of the Soul. Specifically for Aquarius, it actually feels like a Surgeon cutting ever so deep into your subconscious, even unconscious psychology. He brings out ancient traumas form this life's childhood, and even from past lives, onto the light for you to see, process and get rid of. He's a ruthless Surgeon who, sometimes, operates without 'anesthetics'.

Pluto has been bringing to your life painful issues triggered by power struggles in relationships. You may have encountered people who brought up taboo issues, who unveiled your addictions, your attachments, sexual traumas, and other weak spots in your psychology. Some people, situations or events may have entered your life through your place of work or some illness (6th house) only to mirror your deeply hidden weaknesses. You may have found yourself fighting that enemy. However, the enemy is not that person, situation or illness, but your own secret enemy, that repressed trauma or self-undoing behavior hindering your identity. Pluto was the Roman God Hades, Lord of the Underworld, where all riches were hidden. He rules the wealth of the Soul. Before the Aquarius person discovers his or her Soul Wealth (true Identity) he or she has to go 'under', see all the dark, face his or her terrifying fear, develop the courage of destruction. Pluto also rules decomposition and the rot, because He recycles.

This transit may manifest in different ways. The native may feel the increased need for isolation, contemplation, reflexion, or can fall into desperation, depression, addictions trying to avoid the fear.  Others can find themselves in need of help and guidance, looking for a psychologist, psychiatrist, spiritual guide or counselor of any kind. Addictions can get so severe that the person can feel the need for rehabilitation. In other cases, the process can be so unconscious that the person doesn't even realize what's going on. It's usually the case for people who have lived unaware of their emotionally repressive mode, generally drowning them with alcohol or another addictive substance or behavior. In order to get the most benefit of Pluto transit in the 12th house, the development of awareness is highly advised. Meditation, yoga, spiritual practice and therapy are some tools that can be used.

Other ways this Pluto transit can manifest are compulsive isolation, having a Plutonic person enter their life, like a Scorpio rising or a person with a strong Pluto in their chart, usually in their 7th house of mirrors. The person to whom this chart I show here belongs to, is an elderly woman. Her case is very interesting, because she kept very traumatic sexual events from her childhood suppressed. She never did therapy, and she's been psychologically 'drowning' all her life. Holding to a spiritual practice with iron fists in the late part of her life she projected her unresolved issues onto others, usually with a very critical approach, like condemning herself on the other. Until one day, a caregiver entered her everyday life and they started sharing 'stuff'. It was a volcanic eruption, or more so like a putrefied cyst cut open. There was crying for days, asking for forgiveness left and right, confession interviews with spiritual leaders, the great unload! For this kind of process, one needs the help of a  professional, because one needs to learn how to fill the void with new and positive people, circumstances, events, otherwise, the suffering can linger infinitely making the person dwell in it.

This person was also forced to seclusion in a nursing home (12th house places), where all her time is spent in unavoidable reflection and contemplation. Her spiritual practice was entirely 'decomposed' to the point that she doesn't want to attend the church anymore. She abandoned her habit of reading and over-reading the Scriptures to the point of memorization. As I explained before, this is the sign of Pluto's destruction of things that don't serve you anymore.

Other Aquarius may feel more inclined to long distant travel into very different cultures, or secret trips abroad, long stays in ashrams, monasteries, or artistic expression. For some, it could be so serious that they end up in prison for past crimes that are now in the open, or hospitalized for serious hidden mysterious conditions, usually related to unresolved psychological imbalance that they psycho-somatize. Your dreams can be very vivid and give you 'revelations'. It really depends on the person's life circumstances, and how big the psychological issues are. Others still feel the need to research secrets, occult or taboo topics, or to develop psychic abilities.

For most people I think it is great that Saturn comes along at this time, transiting Capricorn from behind Pluto. Even more beneficial if you happen to have your natal Saturn there, in the 12th house. As you see in the picture above. She has her natal Saturn at 17º. When Pluto transited over the natal Saturn, it destroyed the old fears, old secret structures of the Soul, old psychological, and spiritual structures that don't serve her anymore. Once the Transit Saturn comes over the Natal Saturn, he will reconstruct them, giving her new parameters, new spiritual boundaries for her Soul. This is called the Saturn Return. He comes along first time between the ages of 28 and 30, second time between 56 and 58, and in her case this is her third Return. Saturn cycle is 29.5 years. Coming back to the discovery of the suppressed or hidden Soul 'Wealth' in this Pluto 'quest', Aquarius can be made aware that even though this is a long a painful process, Pluto is preparing for them to rise back up from the underworld again as the Phoenix.  After 2024, when Pluto enters their 1st house of identity and their 'persona', they will find a new way of being, a new Self. Pluto will transit Aquarius for about 2 decades to make sure the Identity reconstruction is thoroughly done.

As you can see, Pluto transits are just once in a lifetime, because the whole cycle takes 248 years. So Aquarius can feel special for this 'dark touch', that will clean their Soul of debris. In my astrological opinion, Aquarius are very special ancient and wise Souls present on Earth now with a huge responsibility. That is the reason why they have to go through such hardships and deepest transformations.
