The Key to Human Survival

The New Moon on April 22-23, 2020, at the 3º ♉️24' of her exaltation initiates a powerful monthly cycle when we will focus on finding or creating resources to ensure our survival. 

Both the Sun and Moon conjunct Uranus, meaning, our conscious and unconscious self are united to initiate innovation. People everywhere in the world are asking themselves and others, how do we need to change our way of producing food in order to ensure that we eat tomorrow. Uranus in Taurus work is to fracture our stability and inertia in order for us to understand that the economic activity as we know it is no longer working for our benefit. This 'fracture' transforms our values and desires, which translates in us changing our consumerism habits. Our eating and buying habits are changing drastically in response to this fracture.

In the same way Uranus in Taurus accompanied the Great Depression between 1934 and 1941, he is drying out the climate, the land, the air. Strong wind activity will probably have damaging effects over different regions of the earth. Agriculture will be affected by drought and some fertile lands may become deserts.

However, Uranus works also like the strike of a thunderbolt in our intellect. People will come up with genius seeds of ideas in order to face the losses, the scarcity and the economic contraction. A higher level of consciousness will help us expand our awareness of reality, make radical transformations in our daily lives, operate sudden changes and adopt innovative methods of food production.

Uranus rules Aquarius where Saturn just entered to show us that we need to restructure our social behavior. One way Saturn imposed restriction is now social distance, but we can expect more social restructuring down the line when he re-enters Aquarius in December.  At the same time, Mars is also transiting Aquarius, instigating lots of virtual social contact through the Aquarian waves of the Internet. More than ever before, people realize how important is the exchange of ideas, and finding your own like-minded group to pool together, unite the creative variety in order to build something new. The creation of the new paradigm is up to our collective collaboration and cooperative undertakings for the benefit of the local community. 

Let us not forget that even though, Saturn is now in Aquarius, the Saturn Pluto conjunction that occurred January 12, 2020 has started a New Era, a new cycle of 700 years.  Not only that,  but it is in effect the whole year, for two reasons. First reason is, Saturn will soon turn retrograde and enter back in Capricorn where he will approach Pluto once more. The second reason is that the 22-23º ♑️mark where the conjunction took place has been constantly receiving aspects from other planets, thus being activated by Mars, Jupiter, Venus, the Sun, Mercury, and the Moon every month. Worse even, later in the year, Mars retrograde season in Aries will square it three times. AND, as if that is not enough, let's not forget the presence of the revolutionary Eris in constant square to that mark! with whom, Mars will join forces from September through December 2020. The transformative energy of the Saturn Pluto conjunction is associated with the virus onset and spread. It is safe to predict that the illness will continue affecting our health on and off most probably until late Winter or early Spring next year.

Venus, the ruler of this New Moon is transiting her pre-shadow territory in Gemini, where she will dwell until the beginning of August because of her retrograde period. She is in charge of gathering information, and helping us to make connections with other people in the small communities. Once the lockdown is over, we will go out and review, reconsider and reevaluate our current social activity (Venus retrograde motion). It will be only after June 25th that we will actually know for sure what our new values are, what social connections we want to keep, and which ones will go. Then, will be the time to sort out the information we are absorbing now, as well. 

For the moment, we are not able to make up our minds on what is real and what is not. Neptune direct in semisextile with Mercury promotes distraction, a tendency to daydream and try to escape the situation. This energy favors self doubt, doubt in general, misunderstanding, indecisiveness to make a clear choice, much confusion and even unintentional or intentional deception. This is why I always highlight the importance of introspection, reflection and meditation, especially with a news fasting. 

However, we can tap into our inspiration and creativity to imagine the world we want to create going forward, not only for us, but for our children and our posterity. Tune in to your Higher Self and download directly from the Heavens, the Spiritual World. Your ancestors are close to guide you. Even the memories you carry from past (parallel) lives traumas and challenges and how you cope with them, may come to you as entirely surprising solutions. Use this lockdown as an opportunity to retreat and elevate.

New Moon opposite Chiron

After emerging from their initiation with Chiron, the Sun and the Moon have travelled for months through the different phases (aspects), with opportunities, struggles, challenges, self analysis, and accomplishments. Today, they show the fullness (opposition) of their revolution. Our emotional reactive instinct (Moon) joins the essence of our individuality (Sun), and they both look themselves in the mirror of Chiron. It's their maximum potential of the process this year.

The New Moon indicates a reset in relationships. The phases of planetary relationship, called aspects, parallel the evolution of Nature through the seasons. Symbolically, we go from the darkness of Winter all the way to the full fruition of the Summer, and the way back to Winter. Similarly to the human development, planetary cycles to one another follow the 'season' cycle. They have birth (conjunction), growth, development, maturation, reproduction, decay and death. We discussed about the phases of the Moon in relation to Chiron in a previous article, and throughout the year we've been discussing the phases of the Sun in relation to Chiron as well. September 26, the Sun opposed Chiron exactly.

With this New Moon opposite Chiron, we experience the pain to be ourselves reflected on 'another'. This opposition presents us with situations where we can find ourselves projecting our insecurities, inadequacies, and vulnerabilities on the 'other' like in a mirror. The New Moon gives us a new perspective about our relationships. Hopefully, we've been consciously working on them since March 22, 2019 when the Sun conjoined Chiron, we've faced the struggles and overcame them. Think back, what was happening then and how the relationship evolved. Go back and read my monthly series on Chiron activation to correlate them with your personal developments. 

Today, we become aware of some aspect of a relationship, realize a truth, or accomplish an important milestone in the evolution of that relationship. Something about who we are has been bothering it, and we need to embrace those feelings of not being 'good enough', of being faulty or at fault, of being inadequate. There is a new emotional awareness, of our own imperfections, moral, psychological, physical, appearing in the relationship as blocks or obstacles. However, at the same time, we can find a way to accept and integrate them, and work with them to make the relationship more functional. 

In fact, the most important relationship we are working with is the relationship with ourselves.  Today, the mirror shows us that painful piece, that fragment of our individuality that we need to integrate in order to love ourselves just as we are. 

In the world, this shows up in the overwhelming problem of people forced to unroot themselves from their own country, culture, customs, religion and lifestyle because of unsolvable conflicts of war, famine, or violence. Incorrectly called 'immigrants' instead of 'refugees', once they cross frontiers, they find themselves facing the pain of being 'different' as seen by the others. The New Moon is hopefully, the time when we start looking ourselves in them. Face to face, aren't we as different to them as they look to be for us? And, in the end, don't we all of us, human beings, have the same needs, sorrows and desires?

At the same time, this awkward relationship with Uranus, shows up as a dislocation between the harmony required in this new beginning and finding difficult to conform to 'normal' expectations. Although we accept and integrate our feelings of imperfection, and of not measuring up to the circumstances of our relationships, yet in order for us to break free, we want to rebel against those who don't tolerate 'differences'.

Humanity as a whole realizes now how broken it is. We have our own self-undoing IN OUR FACE. It shows as the refugee, as a needy person, as a rejected friend from a group, as a rejected citizen from a community, as another war-broken human being at our door. We are challenged to revise and adjust the social norms to liberate us from the conditioning that constraints us from accepting and allowing a relationship with the 'other' who is different, original, 'out of the norm'. 

We now got to the point that there is so much migration in all directions, that those who have been stubbornly holding to 'my way' is the right way of being, will break down. We got to the point of having to recognize that there is only ONE HUMAN that needs a human way to survive, even though the package changes colors. This is evident in the long lasting semi-sextile between Chiron and Uranus. As a whole, humanity will be forced to bridge the gaps of differences and understand that whatever  we do to others, we do to ourselves. 

Melanie Reinhart called Chiron, the Rainbow Bridge, between two worlds, the ideal and the material, the spiritual and the physical. It is through experiencing the pain of being human, with basic survival needs for food, shelter and safety, that we finally understand the commonality, that we can finally build a community where we live and work for the benefit of all, not just for the selfish survival of the individual. We will learn mutual cooperation, because we will understand the downside of the competition that is taking us to extinction. We will learn innovative and alternative creative methods never considered or used before in order to operate this shift and survive as the human race. 

Diplomatic conversations - Venus and Mercury in Libra

Venus is the ruler of this New Moon, and she is comfortably installed in her own harmonious house of Libra in the company of his friend, Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods. Their diplomatic deliberations run up against the nearly extinct status quo of social conventions, political boundaries and regulations (represented by Saturn Pluto South Node conjunction in Capricorn). Venus and Mercury loving considerations also call us out on the search for family and home safety, harmony, wellbeing of children, motherly nurturance and care (represented by the square to the North Node in Cancer).  

Venus sextile Jupiter, give their wisdom, and open the door for Venus to appreciate different cultures and belief systems. Now that Jupiter is separating from the square with Neptune and Black Moon Lilith, the public starts to see clearer the overall big picture of the circumstances. Where we were lied to, purposefully or unintentionally deceived, now we clearly see the truth. It's not surprising that we learn some very disturbing political issues that were hidden behind the scenes. Venus quincunx Neptune now, so she has to review and adjust her convictions regarding what was of value and it is not anymore, after learning the news. Our values are now up against our exposed fantasies, speculations or delusions. 

We feel a strong need to do something that seems difficult in order to resolve the dilemma of the New Moon with Chiron discussed above. Since Venus is the ruler of Uranus in Taurus, she has an idea or two to tell him about changing our values or finances, and adopting innovative futuristic methods. Mercury in turn, is the ruler of Mars in Virgo, and he is giving instructions to the executive warrior (Mars), now in charge of the repairs and healing processes (Virgo). Mars in Virgo is asserting his will, taking logistic actions to soften the rough edges. With great flexibility, he taps into his database all information necessary to put his plan into practice. 

Conclusions

Hopefully, we have done our personal work in our relationships. This way, we actively and consciously correct our course. Through Chiron teachings we are able to improve relationships. He has a lot to teach us about them that can help us assess them, understand their dynamics. Thus, we can make decisions to live a happier, wiser and fuller life with that 'significant other' that is another human being, just as fallible as we are.
